When can i start using bio oil on scars?

Hi ladies I’m just over two weeks post op.
Scars are healing nicely just want to know when i can stat using bio oil on the scars.
Can anyone help??

had my strapping off yesterday and the nurse told me I could start using bio oil at around 5 weeks on the scars and to let them heal by themselves until then x
