Hi I was just wondering if anyone knew when I could lie flat in bed I’m getting really bad back and neck now from sleeping upright. Also when does it get easier to move your arms ? I can get so far but then I have to stop as I get a sharpe pain. Any advice would be appreciated thanks x

You can lie on your back 2 weeks post op hun. My back was awful for the first 3 days but day 4 the ache has gone as I guess I’m getting used to sleeping upright.

I’m on day 4 and can put on normal tops over my head and can lift my arms up, but still find it difficult pushing downwards or trying to put a coat on where my arms have to go backwards xx

I asked my nurse at my 7 day PO appointment when I can sleep on my back and mine said I could sleep on my back now as long as I was comfortable. I think it may vary between person and how they’re healing. I know it’s tough but hang in there. I’m 6 weeks PO and I hate sleeping on my back. I’m starting to introduce sleeping on my side now as its just getting so uncomfortable x

Think I’ll be ok when I can lye fully back sleeping up right is playing havoc on my neck. Only 4 more days until I see the nurse so hopefully I can then 🙂 x
