I know the nurses and surgeons say to rest for 1 week and take it easy for 6 weld but realistically when did everyone start to do everyday things around the house?

I’m 4 days post op. Now and it’s killing me not being able to pick up my 6 month son!!

I would never hoover or mop, but since day 1 i have done the washing, cooked the dinners, and emptied the dishwasher, made the beds, went food shopping with hubby, washed hair over sink.. etc. Also went back to work on day 9, which killed my back as work on my feet. I just done it all slower than normal. xx

Glad I’m not the only one then been doing the washing, dishwasher etc!! It’s also giving me a numb bum sleeping upright and I find myself rolling onto my side while I’m asleep! Can I do any harm sleeping on my side! I e done 4 nights now sleeping propped up!

I didn’t over do it as was lucky enough to have my bf do it all for me but I’ve felt fine to do things since about day two I reckon, had hardly any pain at all, been really lucky with it. I was only supposed to be popping out for a couple drinks last night as only a week po but ended up staying out until 5 this morning, was really worried I’d be aching and paying for it today but I feel fine! Apart from the hangover ;) I actually feel the best I have all week! Everyone recovers differently so I think as long as it feels ok then just do it but don’t push yourself if it hurts xx
