When do I find out my surgery time for BA?

I’ve had my consultation with my pc, my consultation with my surgeon (Mr. Alivi) and I’m booked in for my BA on 25th August. I haven’t been told what time I have to be at the hospital or anything though, I just know I’m staying overnight. When did everyone else find out?

I have my pre-op on Wednesday

I started to panic a 5/6 days before my BA as I still hadn’t heard anything with regard to admission times ect. I was booked in Wednesday 3rd June and had a call from the MYA nurse over the weekend before letting me know all the necessary times … so I agree with missmanace its usually about 3 – 4 days. All the best for the 25th !!! emxxx

Hiya, my op is on Wednesday, and i just found out on last Friday my admission time, which is 2pm.

So yes, normally 4 days or so before your op.

thats a shame that we don’t find out sooner! I was hoping to book my trains and my hotel well before 4 days before the op!

I know what you mean..I needed to plan a taxi to the hospital, childcare etc. 4 days was quite short notice I thought. I called MYA a week and a half before to find out but they said the MYA nurse would be in touch so I waited…and waited..and waited.. then 4 days before I received a call. emx

Oh no, you see I want to get everything prepared so that I know its done! if you get what I mean! lol Plus, it makes everything seem more ‘concrete’ too! lol. its lovely to hear your story by the way! :o)

My BA is on the 16 September, so I have aaaages to wait yet!!! grr. How do we get onto the ‘late space’ list please??

I know im booked in for 2nd sept and im staying over in london. London is 2/3 hours away. So i need a time, because if they say 7.30am, i would have to stay over the night before aswell. Ive got two kids so i need to know if i need someone to have them for 1 night or 2. And need to book a hotel for my hubby, whos my driver. Its really annoying because i like to be organised, and 4 days before just isnt for me!xx

ps im suppose to be on the late space list, just ask your pc, its a load of rubbish really though, because the chances of someone cancelling their big day are slim to none. lol xx
