PO mummies… where you told when its OK to pick up and carry your children? I am currently 12 days PO. My youngest is 16 months old and I have had to look after the kids on my own since day 5 so obviously have had to pick her up a few times but fortunately she is very light for her age and I’ve just been being extra careful. Was wondering when it’d be ok to keep her held up on my hip as don’t want to overdo it too soon.
I don’t pick my lil one up, only to put him in and out his cot, I’m being really soft at the min just don’t wana over do it and ruin what I paid a lot of money for xx
Yeah I’m the same Jamie.. that’s the only time I’ve picked her up or if she falls and hurts herself which has happened a few times. Do you know when you can do it though? x
I think it’s around 6 weeks I Went to my 2 week check last week and I was told not to pick him up still and my next app is august 12th so I’m assuming I have to wait for the go ahead then Hun xx
I know it’s tight but I just go to his level and cuddle him or he will put his head on my lap so he’s been really good. He’s a 22month old mummy’s boy too so he’s coping really well xx
They just say that to play it safe Hun. My partner went back to work after 10 days & i had no choice but to pick her up. She’s only little & if she wanted a cuddle i couldn’t of begrudged her 1!! I’m now 7 weeks PO seen the surgeon today & hes over the moon with how iv healed & how little scarring i have. I think u wil know if u overdo it hun. There is no way i would of waited until 6 weeks to hold her!! She’s 16 months aswel xx
