When is it ok to sleep on your side I just can't sleep :(

Hi I’m 8 days post op well I suppose 9 as it’s gone mid night now and don’t know when it’s ok to start sleeping on my side it’s not very comfy at mo I’m still sore but would like an idea as to how many more nights I have to suffer my boyf is fast asleep on his belly and I’m half up on my back really feel like kicking him out ha ha, or any tips on how to get comfy I have a v pillow xx

Awwwwwww,bless nothing worse than sleepless nights,I was told 2 weeks honey,make sure you have lots of pillows,I found supporting the lower back with a pillow helped.xxx

I’m 13 days post op hun, and I’m sleeping on my side already, still abit bruised on my ribs but I have 2 v.pillows supporting my boobies, and it seems to work. Im getting alot more sleep, I just believe it all depends on the person and there recovery. xx

I saw the nurse when I was 8 days post op and she said lower the pillows but don’t lay flat for a few more weeks and definitely don’t lay on your side or stomach x

I tried it last night only slightly didn’t go to well sore today now I guess I will just have to put up with it for now thanks girls xx

I have pillows under my V at the sides as well so I can turn my head and kinda lean my head to the side supported. Hate not sleeping on my side hope we get there soon xxx

i have them all around me too….i have had fab nights sleep i must say xx

I know its so uncomfortable i have just posted a thread as to when to start massaging your boobies and how as im worried about damaging them lolxx

I sleep on the sofa now, it’s much softer on the bum lol x

lol i bet im going to try sleeping dif tonight xx

some nights im out like a light and some im up all night!! lol

does anybody else gets really bad pains in there lower boob when they get up after sleeping? xx

I would give anything 2 curl up on my side Haha. Why do u have 2 be sat up??? Xxxxx

baileybop,I think sitting up helps with the swelling,honey,but thats just my opinion.hope you all get a good nights rest soon.xxx

Yea I get a pain in my incision when I get up after sleeping xx
