When to get measured

Hi Girls

I was just wondering how long after your BA did you all go for your first measuring? I am only 2 days post op, so i know its way too soon but am just wondering what time frame you all gave youraelf, also which is the best place to go?

Hi Sharon. I’ve been told by my pc to wait until 6 weeks (when you can stop wearing your sports bra). That should give your boobs time to settle…… x x Apart from that, you can’t really wear underwired bras yet until properly healed. As far as where to go, I don’t have anywhere particular in mind and, as you know, shops vary in sizes. You could be a D in one shop and an DD in another (pretty much as you were b4 the op).

How are you feeling????? I’m just over 2 weeks post-op and had my dressings off yday. The stiches are disolvable and have no brusining what so ever. Still can’t sleep on my side though, which is a pain. Ali x x

I had 380cc overs. The swelling is already starting to go and they are starting to feel quite soft today. I don’t have any bruising whatsoever, I am going to see my consultation on thursday to have the small dressings removed and stitches. I do feel quite sore on the side of my ribs high up. But they look really good already. I had really bad stretch marks on mine from having the kids and losing alot of weight, but he has done a brill job. The only thing i was warned about is that one of my nipples was slightly more off centre than the other one, and he said the only way to sort it is to do a uplift, but i dont need an uplift, it is more noticable but once they settle it wont be as noticable.

Sleeping is an absolute nightmare……i am using tons of pillows, propped up on my back, but now my bum is starting to ache, i haven’t slept properly since i had it done. I can kinda sleep slightly to the side, i put a couple of pillows under and it helps alot, but still propped up.

So far i am really happy with the results.

I wonder size i will be, at the mo i am easily filling a 34dd sports bra, but i heard that you do go bigger once they have settled.

Sharon you had the same size as me. I’m 8 days post op now, not been able to sleep on my side or front has been driving me mad but this morning I woke up on my side and I was fine! No pain yay!

Is it true you can go bigger once they have settled?! I heard they go a bit smaller once swelling etc had gone? Dunno now though! lol xx

I have heard that they go bigger, i think mine are going slightly bigger, the dd sports bra is now feeling abit too tight. Mine feel nice and soft today with movement in them.

Haha waking up on your side, i keep thinking i might dislodge the implant, am really paranoid at the mo, everytime i bend over im holding on to them, dunno why it’s not as if they are gonna fall off haha.
