When were people allowed to start wearing normal bras?

I’ve been for a check up today (4 weeks post op) and been told by nurse I’ve healed really well but not to start wearing underwired bras till 8 weeks post op. I thought it was 6 weeks? I think she’s just being overly cautious but what have others been told about starting to wear normal bras?

some say 8 and some say 6 hun, some even say 3 months, i think different nurses and surgeons recommend different things its a bit like some say to wear a sports bra and some say not too xx

I’m 5 weeks and have started wearing them if I go out anywhere but find my boobs ache afterwards though xx
