when were you able to shower/bath?

i will be 10 days po tomorow when i go see the nurse again.

will they take off the dressing, or will it need putting back on?

im a lover of a long soak in the bath and missing it.

I think it varies with each surgeon,and the healing stage honey,your nurse will advise you,bet you cant wait,xxx

it depends on how your scars are healing. after 6 days i had my tapes off but had to have new bandages put on. im in to see the nurse this morning, she’s said if they are healing nicely the bandages can come off all together. i cannot wait to have a shower!! x

when did u have ur tape off rosie? thats my questin really, when did the tape come off so that you could shower?

i had my tapes off after 6 days and im back in today 11 days after my op. fingers crossed both scars have healed nicely! xx

I had my tape off 7 days after my op the nurse put sterile strips on and got told to wash them off after 3 days x

I saw the nurse at 8 days post op and had the tape off. She said I can shower with just water and wait a few weeks before I have a proper bubble bath. x

been told not to have a proper bubbly up to the neck soak until after the 6 week mark..shallow baths are sooooo wrong!! x

i had my stitchs out on saturday at 11 days po and the nurse said i can shower now, i said what about a proper full bath and she said yes i could. it was the best bath i ever had! haha! xx

lisalu thanks for getting back to me! gutted for u that u cant have a deep soak in the bath. sure its all worth it! so u can shower tho?

im still not allowed a shower! right scar still needs to heal a tiny bit so another dressing on there and 3rd nurses appointment on monday for another check up. gutted. x

hiya i was 8days post op when i saw nurse she took dressing off and told me i didnt need stitches out as id had dissolveable ones (odd) not heard of others having this. but anywho i was allowed showers and baths but told to avoid putting soap on the stitch area.

hi i had my appoint last night with the nurse, she said all is healing great but replaced the dressing and said next tuesday i can take it off myself and then shower/bath as much as i want. yipeeeee!

oh and boots – mine were dissolvable too xx
