When will they go soft?

I’m just curious ladies- when should I expect my bangers (lol) to go soft and also when the heck will I stop feeling soooooo bloated!!!!! So uncomfortable and ugly!!!

hey my bloatedness stopped after 2 weeks and my boobs started to sofen after 3, i had over. may take longer with unders x

Omg I look pregnant! I hate looking so bloated! I’ve taken some laxatives to help the movements as haven’t ‘ been’ for 3 days now! I had overs and feel rock hard. Mr adamo advises no bra but I’ve done half and half as I’m so worries about them being too far apart! It isn’t that comfortable wearing my bra though! Did either of you feel the same? Xx

hi linzi – i didnt go to the toilet for 6 days i dont think

every surgeon is different, i wore tape for first week then i was told to wear a bra for 5 weeks and the nurse put a safty pin in it to draw them together so try that x

Thanks ladies! I had overs too… I’m in so much pain tho…

And this morning I have woken up with a lump in my arm where the needle went in which is very painful..

I haven’t Been to the loo either & my stomach making some strange noises???

I was told to wear bra day & night! I’m in my Macom, wish I didnt have to wear it tho…

My arm kills, my throat hurts, my stomach bloated & my back & ribs hurt – so not feeling too good ladies!!! Does all this sound normal???

hmm everyone is different, i didnt experience any pain, just had a tight and uncomfortable feeling. when was ur opp again? the needle is hand was most painful part for me, it did hurt for a few days x

I had my op on tuesday Sara (1st feb). I’m desperate for a shower & wash my hair!!

everyone reacts to pain differently and there still very new. i tipped my head over the bath and washed my hair day 3 but if ur in pain dont do it, use dry shampoo its a god send x

When did u go out for first time & how did u feel with everyone looking at u???

I found that my boobs were rock hard for about a week, the swelling has gone now but they still feel quite firm. I’m 2 weeks post op though and they are starting to drop a little so I’m expecting them to become softer over the next couple of weeks. As for the pain I can’t help, I didn’t have any. I just felt as though I had done a workout in the gym, so ached a little for a couple of days. Keep taking the painkillers regularly, and I found moving around a little bit stopped me from getting stiff. Happy healing! Xxx

u will be fine to go out, just be careful, opening and closing doors, and reaching for stuff. maybe go get a blow dry at hair dressers? no one looked at me differently, my boobs aint very noticable in clothes

i went to my parents day 2 and played with there puppy for hours and went out for food etc day 5 x

Me too! In fact nobody at work has noticed I’ve had them done… Which presumably means they look very natural and is a good thing. But part of me thinks that you’d hope people would noticed me going up 3/4 cup sizes!!!

Linzi- youll be fine to go out, trust me, nobody will notice, it’s only obvious to you what you’ve had done. Just be careful not to overdo it! The blowdry is a good idea, or do you have a family member/other half that could help you do it over the side of the bath? Xx

i work with 2 ppl, both men which i told about having my opp. when i came back in after xmas they were like ‘have u had it done’? haha

they wouldnt of noticed if i didnt tell them. but now im out of sports bras and wearing nice balcony style bras i think its more noticable i love them x

So jealous!! I can’t wait to wear pretty bras again. I’m going out Saturday night and had to buy a new dress because nothing I own goes with sports bra! Yours look amazing, no wonder you love them! 3 weeks and 5 days to go for me…. (not that I’m counting!) xx

Im struggling with the pain in the evening! Only night 3 and I’d have thought I would be coping better than this with overs. My right boob is fine, my left is killing! It doesnt help that I must have pulled it when pulling the car door shut hours after op! As for wearing a bra, mr adamo advises not to but even when I do i cant pull them together as they hurt. Hopefully by next week I can do the safety pin thing too!

Ive been showering although i need help washing anything below waist as cant bend, ahem!!! No detail needed!! But ive washed my hair with help massaging shampoo in etc. I only have tiny plasters on which are waterproof.

Around week 3 you will see a massive improvement as they should have dropped quite a bit and be softening loads. Im coming upto 4 weeks and mine are pretty soft, one of the noticable differnce3s is when walking can feel movement now lol im having to wear no bra for 6 weeks, and im sticking to it as the surgeon knows his stuff and they all work differently. So id say stop half n halfing it, 6 weeks is not a long time hun. Hope you feel better soon xxx

Linzi – how r u feeling??

Feeling better today but nightmare last night trying to get comfy. My left boob was throbbing and Im sure I could feel it contracting?? I was so worried but its still the same size, no abnormal swelling and no redness so all ok. I called the nurse this morning to check as I had awful night sleep. Still having to sleep on sofa with pillows propping me up. My back was also killing and both my arms were aching… Decided not to wear bra today-taking chery’s advice! Hopefully tonight will be better! Kirsties- did you go to your uncles party? How you feeling? xx

Linzi – I too am still struggling! Especially trying to look after my twins!! My arm is aching the most and the area where the stitches are under my right boob is tender!! I’m starting to worry about all things that can go wrong now!! Yes I went to party, absolute nightmare trying to find something to wear as I am soooooo bloated but party was ok but I was very uncomfortable!! . Di u have drains Hun!??

No hun didnt have drains. My surgeon doesnt use them. Said he doesn’t need them. My stiches area is itching and on my actual boob they itch at times too. Some of my boob is still numb including my nipples but I feel the pain right behind the left nipple and they feel so stiff… I dont know how youre coping with your twins! I struggle going to the toilet let alone looking after kiddies. I feel for you hun, you need to rest xx

Linzi – I had same as u describe!! Itching is a sigh of healing!! Yes it’s hard work with twins – they r unwell with cold and cough! So up all night!! . Lucky my hubby is amazing and my mam helps!!!

How far post op are you Kirstie/Linzi? You should start to feel better soon im sure. The first week i found toughest as hate being able to do nothing. So glad i had hubby at home the first week to help out with kids n house work. The second week i found i was able to get by but had no mobility in my left arm for a further 2 days as it would hurt my boob if i tried to raise it.

It could have been coincidence but i think returning to work n getting myself mobile helped my recovery. I didnt have a choice as was starting a new job but the nurse also said keep trying to move my left arm n it will help take down the swelling n get easier. Also if you dont keep movement going you can make the problem worse.

So just try every now n then doing little movements with your arm and it will help drain fluid in the area n ease the pain.

Hey chery, I had mine on Wednesday so only 4 days post op. I feel totally useless not being able to do anything but my fiance has been going to work and has left me today to go footy and is out tonight so maybe it will help that I have to do everything myself. Im sure from here things will get easier, we must be over the worst of it… The price we pay for beauty hey! xx

4 days post op youll be feeling pretty lousy and the nigts are bad tryna get to sleep. I found the v pillow is a god send but make sure your bum is cussioned as mine ended up being sore 4 like a week after from all the pressure being on it all day!! Dont do too much hun as your still in your first week n dont wanna put yourself back just tiny things here and there.

I remember i went to a pantomine with the family n friends around day 4, which i found was good for me to be out the house. (had to be carefull laughing!!) Alltho we was on the front row n had water squirted at us, i was mortified lol as my boobs got wet All was good tho.

Chery- I had my op on Tuesday!! So 5 days post op for me!! I feel useless around the house & with girls & I feel I cant moan because I choose to have surgery!!! I’m eating a lot to so all the weight I lost pre op I have prop put back on! Lol. X

ha ha all I seem to be doing is eating too! only prob is, its going in but not coming out! Im sure Ill pop if I keep eating! Even taking laxatives havent helped but Im kinda glad coz Im not sure how I will cope if i do… I cant reach round!

I’m taking senakot comfort. – they made me ‘go’ lol

Lol girls, i never experienced the bloatedness feeling that a lot of you have mentioned. But i think thats due to stopping the painkillers early on as they are the biggest prob of bunging you up. If you feel you can do some time without taking them then try and see if it helps.

However Kirstie if your at day 5 you should soon be getting mobile. I was exactly day 8 when at work i suddenly realised i could move my left arm again without pain in my boob. I think because the prev 2 days i kept doing little exercises that helped drain the fluid. So i thought im gona try going town on my lunch. Decided try a top on and WOW no wonder i felt better the swellin in my left boob had gone down n was now a symetrical to my right

So after day 6 if having pain more in one side just keep little movements goin in the arm n it will help. Hope you feel better soon. Im still healing myself of chours at just over 3 week post op but dont feel restricted or cant go out or anything.
