when you wake up…

A friend of mine had a BA last year and apparently when she woke up she was coming out with really stupid things and just blurting out random stuff like she was drunk… I’m really worried of this happening! I hate the idea of not knowing what your saying, has anyone had this??

Not not really, some ppl do talk crap when they wake up, when i woke up i thought for a second id been on a night out, and had a hangover, was really funny!! then i realised id woke up from my op. the felt a stiff pain on my chest. I was very relaxed though, think i was a but high ha ha X

lol everytime iv had ba iv called my nurse very bad words on my wake up lol.

i explained thus to anistatist when shecame round and she was like loads of people do we see it daily.

and when i woke up after my ba i laughed as i never said nothing this time.

I did that yesterday. The woman in theatre was a right Rottweiler. Apparently I kept asking if I was trumping when under as I’d had tummy pains before going in.

She was pretty arsey, told me I was getting on her ‘wick’. Also that there was a reason she is a scrub nurse (implying so she doesn’t have to interact with patients).

Glad to say the other staff had a sense of humour!!

I found the waking up part to be lovely as I was really unaware of anything and so relaxed I have no recollection of the recovery suite other than hearing sounds I didn’t see any of it and the same when I was took back to my room it was like I was awake but So sleepy I couldn’t open my eyes! Apparently when I was wheeled back into my room my partner was there and I said to the nurse is Simon here and she said yes he’s right next to you and I whispered “tell him I love him and I have boobies” hahaha he’s told me he’s taking that one to the grave it was adorable! But I have to say it was a lovely feeling until I woke up properly 30 mins later and threw up for 3 hours! But apparently that is rare and they gave me medication to stop that but I threw it up lol! Xx

I didn’t wake up til I was back in my room. Pretty sure I woke up to the nurse saying my name haha I was so out of it but I managed to tell her to go into a certain pocket in my bag and get a key for the safe, open the safe and give me my iPhone hahaha priorities. Apparently I called my bf straight after as well – don’t remember this!! xxxxxx

I woke up thinking my 3 yer old was climbing on me and told the nurse she was being a naughty girl and mummy would put her in time out…..

I dont remember waking up till i was back in my room, god knows what rubbish id been talking about to the recovery nurse! x

I kept asking if I could touch myself (I meant my boobs) but I think that came out quite badly to the male nurse!! He was like – maybe just wait till you get back to your room!! lol

I woke up crying my eyes out!!! Like actually sobbing I kept saying to the nurse “I’m not sad I promise I’m not sad I promise” over and over again haha. I think I was just so overwhelmed by the whole thing!! X

@meln I am actually laughing sooo hard at “can I touch myself” – hilarious! Having the giggles is hurting my incisions haha xxxx

i wouldnt worry i swore at everyone told everyone to F off! and kicking so i dont think it can get as bad as that ha x

I’m worried about this aswell lol. Do you start to come round in your recovery room or before you taking back there? My boyfriend will be waiting for me in room so i hope i dont patter on some right pap lol. X x

Aww ladies, no one can tell what you will be like, I have had many surgeries in my time now and fortunately I’ve never done a lot apart from sleep, however . . . . Last time I woke up, sat bolt upright and said to the nurse ” oi slut I’ve shit myself” it was really horrible I knew what I was doing and saying but it felt like I was dreaming, then I Burst into tears and she cuddled me and told me I was dreaming even though I wasn’t I think she wanted me to feel better, then she checked me and there was no mess at all so I must have been trumping. hope I’m not like that this time, I will never live it down!

I woke up asking who took my so., then slapped a woman putting oxygen Mask on me, then kept Asking if I had wet myself lol no clue why! Youll be fine. I kept laughing when they told me!

hahaha your stories are so funny girlies. Last time I was put under general anaesthetic and woke up I told the nurse I was pit bull, started singing to her and invited her to my concert backstage at the o2!! So I’m pretty sure the nurses have seen it all! x

I was awake before I was fully awake apparently I was hitting the nurse telling her to p off then kept trying to get off the bed saying I need the toilet I remember trying to go to the toilet that was it I don’t remember doing all the other things even though I think the nurse quite enjoyed telling me wen I woke up fully lol I was soooo embarrassed xx

I woke up back in my room. My hubby was standing up looking at me and asked if I was ok. I lifted the sheet, looked at my chest and said “I’ve got boobs” and started crying I was so happy was fine tho other than that little outburst tho, lol xx
