I was given Co-Dydramol and told to take it first and if there is still discomfort take diclofenac. I have just been taking co-dydramol but it’s left me so bloated and constipated!!! I’m thinking of stopping it and moving onto diclofenac hoping it has less side effects but maybe it is a stronger painkiller. Has anyone had similar symptoms and any ideas how to get better? I can’t handle anymore prune juice!!!!xx

hey ladies. the reason you are becoming constipatied and bloated is becasue of the codine in the co-dydramol. it also has paracetamol in it, my advice would be stop them, and take 1g of paracetmol x 4hours, and 50mg of diclofenac x3 daily with food, as this is an anti-imflamitry. will also help the swelling of the breast. im onl 1 days post op but student nurse. Hope that helps. x x

its the same really hunny, but i do prefer it! no i dont think you can, but you could get it on prescription. No point in paying tho if you are taking Ibrufon, remember you can take 400mg ibrufon, and 1g of paracetamol together, or do them 2 hours apart so you are geting continoues pain relief. Plus if pain really bad you can take 60mg of codine, every 6hours, but this may make you sleepy and constipated. x
