Who to go with?

I’ve booked surgery for 3rd November but unsure who to take with me as it’s a two hour drive and they recommend to stay close by plus I won’t be able to drive home. I’m thinking the easier option would be my boyfriend but he is really against me having it done despite it making me happier. Then there’s my mum who isn’t against the idea but she doesn’t really like to talk about it. And then my sister who isn’t that bothered neither for or against but at the same time isn’t very sympathetic either so if I’m in pain she’s not the best person to be around. Really don’t know what to do. Wish my boyfriend would just get over it and accept that it’s happening but he thinks it’s a waste of money. I really want to get exited for this as I’ve wanted it for a few years as I have no fullness, but I don’t have anyone to talk about it with and get exited ???? Any advice? Xx

@katie2194 it’s a hard one if your boyfriend is not supportive, have you told him why you really want it, as I know a lot of men seem to think we’re going to run off as soon as we’ve had it done lol, and that’s why they get all moody about it.

My boyfriend didn’t really want to discuss the topic much, I went on my own on the actual day he arrived later on after work. But he completely changed when he got there and was very supportive especially when I was crying my eyes out and has been great since.

Your mums always a good choice as well, as I’m sure she will be supportive if you’re struggling or in pain (mum instincts lol).

If your sister isn’t that sympathetic then I probably wouldn’t choose her, you really need someone that will be sympathetic towards you, especially straight after the op.

@hannahlaura yeah I’ve told him but he thinks it’s a waste of money (even though he’s not funding it) and he can’t get over his own opinion.

Awh, I think he’@” be okay after the op but he doesn’t want to be there when it happens and it’s not like he can just pop over as it’s 2hrs away from my house so I’ll have to stay over in a hotel.

I’ve asked my mum to come with me as she’ll be more sympathetic and a supportive (and she’s a better driver lol!).

Thank you! I’m always on this forum lol since I first started researching it all! I’ve just had a text from MYA about the mya bras so thinking about getting one of them. Did you get one? I was looking at a macom bra but the mya ones look nicer with a low front and cheaper Xx

I got 2 Macoms & 1 from m&s. I bought 1 of my macoms from new and the other from a girl on here.

I got put off the MYA ones as they do up at the back and I thought I would struggle lol. Xx

@hannahlaura yeah good idea! He’s a typical lad and drives like an f1 racer lol so not ideal after having surgery. My mum’s is happy so come with me and she’s managed to get the day off work so luckily that’s now sorted 🙂

I might see if I can’t get both, a mya and a macom. Not sure about the m and s ones as they go by cup and back whereas macom and mya go by back only.

I also heard that some surgeons recommend the one that do up at the back as it keeps them together or something. I’ll see if anyone is seeking one on here xx
