who went with you on the day of op?

Look at me and all my questions lol.
My partner is taking me up on the day and he’s going to go shopping for a little while as I’m guessing il be in there a majority of the day. Did the person who went with you wait downstairs or did they come back once you were in recovery? also once your in your recovery room is that when they let someone in? bait confused by that part xx

Omg your so lucky I have to travel on my own ? So nervous got to get a train and a tube! I’m guessing they can wait in the waiting area for you. X

Oh how far you traveling from? Is no one coming to pick you up after?i went by tube for my consultations coz I live a few hours away xx

I went with my boyfriend! He was in the room with me up until I went down to theatre, and was then asked to wait in a waiting area whilst I was down there, but I was only in an hour! But another girl who went to the same hospital, her boyfriend was allowed to stay in the room! As soon as I was in recovery, my surgeon went and found my boyfriend to tell him everything was okay, and he was allowed back in the room as soon as I was back on my bed xx

My friend came with me she stayed with me till I went 2 theatre then went out n about in London them came back later on in the evening x

I was at Preston and my best friend came with me (fella would have been useless haha) and she stayed in the room with me the whole time and spooned me in bed whilst watching tv haha (we had a LONG wait). They asked her to leave the room when they bought me back in for 5 mins just to set me up but otherwise she waited in there. I was down 40 mins and she stayed the entire time.

How strange! My friend was allowed to stay in the room also xx

You mean stay in the same room while your under going the op??xx

She was waiting in my private room whilst I had the op. Didn’t have to go to the main waiting room x

My boyfriend came with me & waited in the room the whole time too xx

Ohh I was gunna say lol. Oh that’s handy to know but unfair how they let some stay and some not. Must have been nice having them wait though xx
