Why did you choose Mya? Opinions please!

Hi ladies,

Just wondering why you have all chosen Mya for your BA? Whether you have already had your op or if you’re starting the process like me! I have my first appointment booked for next week but I’m still looking at other providers to try and compare, but struggle to find decent reviews on the internet!

I have looked into this now for the last month.

A friend used Harley and was disappointed. Another friend used Transform and was not happy with the results.

I found MYA and was just so happy to see somewhere that had a forum and real ppl you could talk too. I also researched NU Cosmetic, Lifestyle and many more. Since coming on the forum I have met lovely real ppl who are so supportive. I struggled to find reviews on any other providers ….

I had my first consultation today and was happy with experience. Hope that helps

I would agree with you cuks, had friends that were disappointed with service and results at Transform and others and i have just found MYA so appealing and am comfortable with them so far.

Cuks I tried to research NU aswell and couldnt find a great deal on them, i filled the online form out, they sent me some info but havent bothered to ring to follow it up so that kinda put me of for starters.

Simply because I got to speak to a surgeon directly within a week of seeing my PC and it was free.

I felt right from go that I had the option to get information specific to me which helped me to decide what to do, whether to even start the process or not. I found with HMG even though the PC was very good – I didnt feel like my consult helped as the information she was giving I had already found in my research. i wanted information specific to me from a surgeon – and yes i am a cheapo – MYA allowed me to do that wothout having to pay a penny – the same chat with the surgeon meant deposit a couple hundred at HMG or £25 at Mybreast..

By the way I booked within 19 days of my first consult – say my surgeon & a PC twice, plus the nurse all before my op. I am now 7 days post op and am very happy so far.. had a brilliant experience personally

Also I liked the forum – it gave me the opportunity to chat to people who like me where considering a BA or to people who had done one – also I could look at real pics – not just the specially selected ones at the surgery..

To be honest MYA were the only company I went to – a friend had hers done there! I didn’t want to give myself too many options as i would never have made my mind up where to go! Plus the consultation was free!

Pocohontas, I had helena 6 weeks ago for an uplift and implants, everyone told my she is a perfectionist with minimal scarring and they were right! you can barely see my scars – she is fab x

I had 3 friends who went through Transform and loved them (although they strangely don’t know what size implants they’ve had or whether they’ve had unders or overs). I went for an appointment there and they seemed okish. Then went for appointment immediately after at MYA and the difference in meetings was then so obvious. Transform weren’t bothered about me, just after a sale at the end of the day. MYA was much more personal.

I’ve since heard some really bad stories about Transform and a private hospital near to me who does boob jobs (Nuffield) so I’m really pleased I went with MYA. Don’t get me wrong, MYA make mistakes and have messed some people about recently. But the mistakes MYA are making are cancelling people’s operations and I’d far rather have that to contend with than the mistakes Transform and the Nuffield have made during people’s operations. x

I went to transform who asked me straight away ” do u hav the mney to pay now or should we set the finance up?” errrrm hardon!!!! Only just walked through the door. Heard loads of crap bout nuffield. Bmi almost did pay for a consult but couldnt find any reviews on their surgeons. Seen loads bout mr traynor found out he worked for mya! Wen to mya and julie was brilliant. She never asked me how i would pay etc until i mentioned the price. She was more like a rriend than a oc. Even now when i text her she tb straight away and is always lovely. Few of my friend have went with harley, the hosp group and transform. The ones with harley and transform havent a clue what i mean with unders overs and cc. Just what cup size they wanted and they hav bigger, which they think is great!! or not cos i would want to know.

As lisa said lately mya hav made a few mistakes, but who doesnt? I think they are an over concious company who really do care bout their patients.

Im 100% behind mya and would recommend them to my famil and friends. Infact my sis in law wants a re op and she is going with mya and mr t!!! She loves my boobs!!

Just start o finish they have been fab!! Maybe thats just the newcastle clinic hut still i am sooo pleased with everything so far xx

I looked into transform, my breast, harley medical and mya but i only booked consultations with MYA and my breast as i heard lots of bad reviews about the aftercare and treatment with harley and transform. I had my first consultation with mya and decided then they were a very professional, friendly, very informative and caring company.i then cancelled my appointment with my breast as i knew i would b happy with MYA. the following day i saw Mr Kazzazi and knew straight away he would perform my surgery. i found him to be a quite but funny man and when he told me he could make my boobs the way i wanted them, i believed and trusted him.I booked immediately. 6 days po and im very happy with my results.in my opinion the staff and surgeon have been great throughout and helped me with my freak outs when every necessary lol in my personal experience i HIGHLY RECOMMEND MYA xxx

Hey claire, I went for MYA because I had a disappointing consultations and experiences afterwards with both The Hospital Group and Transform.

I know it’s a business, but THG seemed very money orientated and didn’t seem to care much about what I wanted. I agree the surgeons probably do know best, but I had hoped my wishes would at least come in to the picture!

Transform I had 2 consultations with, both were quite rushed. The woman I spoke to was nice, but it just didn’t click with me.

Both of my consultations with MYA were positive, I felt like I really got on with my PC and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I even had a good appointment with Mr. C (a man of VERY little words!).

Since booking with MYA I have had a few negative experiences, my PC left without telling me, and they wouldn’t let me use my recommend a friend discount, but I’m not taking it to heart and feel that it’s the end result that matters most. My friend who went through MYA did feel that they can be quite impersonal after the op, brushing you off as such and told me to go elsewhere, but I’m remaining optimistic for now!

Every company will have their good and bad points, you just need to keep your mind open to the possibility that some things won’t run as smoothly as others. xx

Jess.dont worry hun ive never been brushed off by my pc or my nurses. They have all been fab!! Still get texts from julie now and then xx

I shopped around before mine and found MYA the best. the others (especially Transform) were really pushy and didnt really give me much info. mr adamo was my suegeon and he is amazing – best thing I ever did! xx

I’m with Fairy Claire.Everyone at our clinic has always been fab,right from the start,very friendly and good at putting you at ease.I had initial consults with Transform and THG and saw a surgeon at THG but didn’t feel comfortable with either of the pcs and felt like they were run more like businesses than the means of helping us change our lives for the better.The pc at THG actually used a flip chart! I’ve heard the stories of people’s negative experiences with MYA recently but I can honestly say that Things have been great for me so far xx

I chose them because my friend went with them last year and said it was the best decision shes made having it done, she also said even though it was painful she doesn’t regret it and would do it all again just because the whole experience was so good. Also being able to speak to other people that are going through the same thing and all the thoughts and questions im having myself being able to find the answers from people that have asked them all before on here. Ive got my consultations with the surgeon next week and im already sure I wont be going anywhere else xx

That’s all so helpful, everyone always seems to have such good things to say about MYA. Just need to see how my initial consultation goes but I think I will definitely stick with MYA! It can’t come quick enough now!! xx
