Why do they put a tube down your throat?

haha flicky yeah its a breathing tube hun but dont worry they only put it in once your under and remove it before you wake up so you wont feel a thing although some people complain of a sore throat afterward but i was fine! xxx

As bek said for breathing u don’t feel a thing, I got a site throat 3 days po but I had cold anyway its not bad at all I git put under 3 yrs ago n I had no idea they even used tubes till last September wen my pc told me at mya Haha xx

I had a ba 6 years ago and was never told I had a tube down my throat lol not that it matters like. Xxx

Its the first I’d heard reading posts on here that they put a tube down was wondering if it was for people who mabey have asthma or something, suppose its just something I’ve never thought about really xxx

i didnt know until after when i asked, i dont have breathing problems or asthma but i had a tube. didnt have a sore throat though! xx

They do the tube all time I think xx

I didnt even nO they did this

The ga that we are given leaves us unable to breathe alone so we have a tube down our throats and a machine to help us breath x

Omg that sounds scary! You know im such a bloody baby when it comes to stuff like this I really need to man up! I had 3 kids with no drugs what so ever but stuff where I have no control over just freaks me out! Wish I was the fearless 22 year old I was 6 years ago lol xxx

My surgery will be without the tube, just the mask.
