why do u go bloated after ba??

Heard loadsa ppl sayin it also tht thy have put weight on after this op! Can any1 shed sum light as 2 why? I’m rather lost xx

one of the tablets u get to take after ur opp makes u bloated, u have to take it for a week. i cant remember the name of it, but i didnt go to the loo for about 6 days haha x

I’m not sure what tablet it was but I got really bloated. My husband kept saying stop pushing your belly out so much and I was breathing lol!!!! It only lasted a few days so don’t worry!!!

oh i remember its the anti inflamitry that makes u bloated x

Hey girls, I’m 3 weeks post-op now and I didn’t have any bowel movement for about 5-6 days. It’s the pain meds combined with co-amoxclav (antibiotics). I think it’s also to do with the anesthesia too. I was advised to drink plenty of water to help flush the anesthesia out of my system. I also avoided pain meds unless I felt I really needed them. Hope this helps xxx

Wow weird…..My bowels were fine the wole time after lol but I was REALLY bloaty and walked hunched which didnt help…..
