why initial consultation?

hi ive got my inital consultation tomorrow, this is my 3rd ba but my first one with mya do you think it would be achivable to do this consultation over phone as im finding it hard to get done there it just seems a waste of time spending 2hrs to get there with my 3yr old tagging along, im pretty sure i would like mr singh so i dont understand what this is for helppppppp
