I’ve booked my op and received the confirmation letter. I’ve asked them to confirm what time the op is, as I wanted an early one cos I’m flying home the next day and want plenty of healing time before going up steps on the plane – sounds stupid but it has been on my mind – anyway, they said I’m not gonna know until the day, MYA Manchester. Is this normal procedure?

They cant usually tell you your admission time until a couple of days before – mine is on Thursday and I only found out yesterday. Then its just how you fall in the q to when you get it done on the day x

They give you an admission time but can’t tell you operating time although you may be able to request that you are one of the first on the list if you ring and explain why? They don’t give you a time because there are so many things that can cause a delay on an operating list x
