    will i feel pain asoon as i wake up from the GA , and im soo silly but im so scared of being sick after GA lol im such a baby :( xxx

    You wont feel ANY pain hun when you wake up as they give you morphine in theatre!!! I was soooo scared but honestly its a breeze!!! x

    When I woke from the Anesthetic I had pain straight away, told the nurse, she gave me some Morphine and it was gone, you have nothing to worry about love, you’ll be fine :) Xx

    i did have pain wen i woke up and was shakin pritty bad but then had morphine and was fine :) dw girls x

    I woke up in my bed and looked down and was over the moon… ten mins later was up and out the door for a cig…..i fainted but the nurses got me…. no pain for me xxxxx

    thanks for replying girlys, ahh dunno why im more scared about being put to sleep but im sure il be sat here after saying the same , im on a day case and im going to go home the same night, as anyone else done this and do u think it will be safe? xxx

    I had no pain atall when I woke up just heaviness,same until next day really but even then its jus an uncomfy dull ache, I was imaginin it to b much worse. And I never took the rele strong painkillers prescribed!! Jus took normal paracetamol n ibuprofen n I never had any terrible pain! (Daycase)X

    I was a day case hun……theatre at 0950 out by 1135 and walking back to the car at 1515 after being discharged!!! I was totally fine…..no pain at all x have a read of my story hun…..it might ease your nerves a bit!!!! xx

    I went home same nite xxx after my BA had a cig, fainted came back to room and rang me mam and family – had a three course meal, had a walk around, had a pee and then went home xx id rather b at home than in the hosp x

    aww i find out my admission time tomoro hoping it wil be really early to get it outa the way pahah ! i just wanted to know rlly what the likely hood of anything going wrong on the evening that i would have to go back into hospital as its a 2 and half hour drive back to highgate :s , ( skybird , il have a read now, thanku :) xxx)

    You probably won’t, but you might want to keep on with the pain meds (and switch to normal pain meds like ibuprofen/advil etc. asap to avoid constipation) to assure you don’t suffer too much. Make sure not to take any blood thinning pain meds until 2 weeks post-op just to be safe. xx

    i had mine yesterday and never had any pain when i woke up, they felt heavy but all i wanted was some food haha..i had pain relief in the evening and happily went off to sleep…..the excitment and reality of seeing them outweighed any pain..good luck x

    I had my ba 11 months ago now and i can remember waking up and feeling no pain but very heavy, i told nurse i felt like an elephant was sat on my chest,I had tea and pain killers and later i was given a sleeping tablet and that was me done for the night.Xx

    Hiya, I had my surgery last friday and had no pain or sickness when i woke up i was just starving and begging the nurse for food lol xx

    Most people are still completely numb when they wake up so shouldn’t feel pain but like the girls say if you do, just say and they’ll do something about it
