Will I get accepted for finance PLEASE READ im despair…

Hey girls

I’ve been booked for 22nd September for a while now. My boyfriend’s hours have been cut though and we are struggling to find the last £1,000 – we have the rest!

My credit rating is really really bad to the point where I can’t even get a credit card. My boyfriend is at his maximum borrowing as our mortgage is in his name and he had to get a loan for me for my car so it looks as tho he has lots of ‘debts’.

As a last hope my pc said about getting the £1,000 on 12 months interest free credit. I’ve been waiting for a call from the finance guy since Wednesday and Im literally going out of my mind. Do you think it is a complete waste of time me even trying?

Anyone else been in this situation?

I earn a good wage so can afford to pay it back xx

First Medical are absolutely lovely and they will go through options with you to help you out as much as they can.

Don’t despair hun, I know its awful having to wait but it shouldn’t be too much longer!

if you ring them they will tell you whether they will agree it in principle first, so if they agree at first whether thats just you or with a guarentour its worth trying to apply think they give a desision quickly, could you not borrow from any friends or family i know its a lot to ask for? i rang n they agreed in principle and theyve sent forms out for me to send back so there is a chance they could still tell me no but its worth trying x

A guy called Tom from MYA’s finance team may give you a call and go through your options with you. He is very very friendly and so helpful.. you just need to explain your situation with him and he’ll help you out. It may be that you have to spread the loan over more than 12 months and pay interest? I know it doesn’t sound very appealing but it may be the only option?

I was constantly calling and emailing Tom from MYA because although my credit score is very high… I haven’t really got any credit history plus I work part-time so I had to have a guarantor to help me out.

Trust me you’ll be fine hun.

I applied for finance I had the full amount but some of it was for house savings I wanted to finance £1650 so I had a guarantor and filled in forms and sent relevant info they said it would be £137 interest free over 12 months. I waited to hear back from them and It was the day before final amount had to be paid and still nothing so phoned them up and they said it was still being decided so I said well it needs to be paid so when are you making your decision as its got to be paid, anyway had a call back saying they would accept me but not interest free and after I signed all contracts telling me it would be interest free they turn around at last min and say I had to pay 21% or whatever it was So I decided to just pay for my surgery and then pay back into my savings. If I hadn’t of phoned they would of had my surgery postponed I was not happy So make sure you give plenty of time. Xx

Thanks kayteelouu – so would I ring MYA to speak to Tom. My pc did say she had asked Tom to give me a call but I’ve been waiting since Wednesday. I know that’s not long to wait but the thought of having to have a full weekend of not knowing is driving me crackers!! x

Thanks riak Im scared to ring tho, ha! I hate explaining that I have such a bad credit score etc etc thinking he might turn round and say “well what the hell you asking for finance for” x

Be brave, most people have got a bad credit score – mine is shocking so my dad acted as guarantor so I was very lucky. I understand what you mean but he speaks to loads of people every day in a similar situation and although I haven’t spoken to him myself I have read good things about him. xx
