Will this affect my boobs? – midwives and nurses

Hey girls, as some of you may know I’ve stupidly got pregnant…again

Anyway I went to the doctors early this morning and she said I can have the procedure as early as next week. However I don’t want to have it done then as I’m going to Spain next weekend for a friends birthday and I want to be able to enjoy it. So that means if I get it done the week after it’ll be about 7 weeks….my question is will my boobs change at all? I really don’t want them to Eurghh they are so pert and I want them to stay that way. I remember the last time I was pregs they were really sore and swelled a bit. I tried looking on the Internet but it says different things so I’m a little confused.

Help pleasee from anyone who knows about baby stuff! X

Hi dolly I sent you a friend request a few days a go hope you can accept me, well I had the same procedure 2 weeks before my BA , I had a very sore breast and sore nipples feeling vey tired and sick all the time, and i was nearly 8 weeks pregnant when i had it but within 24 hours of the procedure everything went back to normal. so don’t worry enjoy your trip and have fun. x

Hi hun it all depends on your body preg affects all parts of your body and is not always the same for everyone some girls get painfull swollen boobs and some dont your very early so you should be ok

i have had 2 kids and had no changes in my boobs by 7 or 8 weeks chick they may feel tender but you cant do anything about that. I had my kids after my ba and the difference i noticed was when my milk came in towards the end of my pregnancy.

Is there a limit on the amount of times you can have the procedure done chick ?? random i know x

dolly ul go through it all the time if u dont stick something on the end of it!

I totally understand dolly and hope you will fine ,the same as me I have to travel for an 1 :30 minute to be done as quick as possible as the appointment in my area was after 1 week I couldn’t wait I just wanted to be done plus my BA could be canceled because of the pregnancy, it was my first time and i’m going to be very careful next time. good luck hun.

@staceyanne I was on the pill. I was taking it properly and it still didn’t work so I’m not being careless.

@bekkyb thaks for the info. I’m okay but more annoyed than anything else….definitely going to change my method of contraception. Hmm I don’t know. I’m having mine done privately so I don’t think there’s a limit, no. Maybe on the NHS there is….xx

I heard that 3 is usually the max because it can effect your future chances of getting pregnant but dont quote me on that as im not 100% sure if thats correct i just read that somewhere a while ago. Maybe you should consider the coyle ?? X

I no the pill failed you but if it failed you twice before you should use condoms too or choose another kind of contraception, I’m not been nasty its just concerning for your future health etc. Definitely choose somethin else this time. And it whisky affect your boobs its normally towards end they swell lots more and after the birth

@bekkyb it’s between the coil or the injection…hell I’ll even have both if they let me!

injection is good, i had it for 2 years then changed to the implant as when u do decide to have kids ur fertility comes back quite quick… ive had two implants now and had my daughter inbetween and would recommend them to anyone, peace of mind for 3 years luuuurvely lol x

I’ve Got coil cause my body Dusnt agree with hormones implant was shocking and injection was same too so I’ve had coil and its great don’t no its there feel like my normal self periods are just every month as normal, I had the mirena coil too in the past n that was also good had it took out tho coz I wanted another baby x

I never got offered coil dunno why but have heard loadsa good stuff about it! My partner doesnt want anymore babies booo but ill give it another go in a few years when this implant runs out lol, not bad tho i dont have periods with implant so quite lucky! x

Just ask for it I did lol. I didn’t have them with that mirena coil but cause tthat 1 has hormones in it, I wasn’t too good again, pill implant injection and the hormone coil all make me get pregnancy symptoms and migraines lol weird xx

Try the mirena coil then? Mine totaly stopped with that, I had spotting for 1st 2 month after that nothing xx

Hi Dolly, I’m on the injection been on it for about 2 years just over and i’v had like 2 periods that was at the start of taking it, and it was literally the lightest spotting for about 2 days, it does effect people differently so some do have a tiny bit each month but thanks god I don’t .. Hope you have a great time in Spain and get everything sorted! Xx

Hi Hun. Well you know the crap I’ve just been thro lately with my eptopic pregnancy and I too caught on whilst on the pill. I hope you get it all sorted soon and hope its not too painfull. Mine was horrible. I was advised the coil or implant xxxx

yeah but 3rd time round surely thats telling u the pill clearly isnt a right form of contraception for u? if u fail to acknowledge this now u wil be goin through it a 4th, 5th time and so on.

its not a case of it being different privately that u can have more than u wud on the nhs…. just think whats its doing to ur insides! not healthy thats for sure

@staceyanne That’s not my reasoning between private and the NHS; I was asked a question so I answered it. The sector of the health industry I go to has nothing to do with it….ohh really? I definately recommend the injection, its on the top of your bum so just below the knicker line, only have to have it once every 3 months and the best part… No periods!!!

I’ve been on it for 3 years now and I will continue to use it till I have children xx

Well I bled the whole 3 months so its defo not the same for everyone x

Aw mrswilla1981 i had one of them back in 2008, was friggin awful i lost a tube so i really hope your ok and getting on better now! I was the same as emilylouise with injection loved it but was only aloud it for 2 years, everyone is different tho its trial and error for all of us xx

coil all the way, i tried the implant and hated it. im on the copper coil, 5 years protection and really light periods. was going to have the merina coil (think thats how you spell it lol ?) but as i havnt had kids i was adviced it was slightly bigger and would hurt slightly more. dont get me wrong it was uncomfortable having the coil fitted but only for 15seconds xx

why did u not just ask the doctor this?

perhaps they should make you live up to the consequences of your stupid actions when you quite obviously knew what was going to happen as you said you have done it twice before and didnt learn from it

i cant believe that you are basing when you kill a baby you created……because yes that is what you did, by 8 weeks it has a brain and a heart beat as you should know…..on the fact that you want to go and get pissed in spain

I just can’t understand how you keep getting pregnant if you are on the pill? I have been on it 8 years now and have never got pregnant! I really don’t think you should come on here and take this kind I thing so light heartedly! It takes women years to get over having a termination and I speak from experience!

what she says is disgusting!! she talks about aborting a baby as if its a trip 2 the shops! :(dolly writing this is inconsiderate and so dis-respectful against other women that may not be able to have children, or women that have had have abortions, its a sensitive subject and 2 parade on a forum that you have already had 2 abortions and now your pregnant again and ‘il just abort when im back’ your 19, its sad really when there is so much contraception out there and its all free. yeah i know you were was on the pill but surely if u don’t want2 get pregnant u would use a condom just 2 be extra safe…

Totally agree with you beckidawn and you babzies2079. Mt best friend has jus been through IVF for the first time and what she has been through doesn’t even bare mentioning. Luckilly she is 14wks pregnant. If u don’t want a baby dolly92 then maybe u should keep ur legs closed!!!! Because obviously it has happened more than once!!!!! Or maybe ur forgetting to take the pill because ur to busy thinking about urself and how ur boobs look!!!!!

Hi hun I’m a midwife, the sooner u have the procedure the better cos the hormones affect your breasts in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and cause the breast tissue to increase during this time. In terms of contraception I have the implant, I get no periods and its worked fab for me. You know that having these procedures repeatedly isnt good so I wont insult your intelligence by telling you off but I would definately recommend either the implant or the coil cos they work much better and the pill obviously doesnt suit you. Hope u are ok cos going through these procedures isnt nice and you dont need others judging you, you need support and advice. Sending love. xxx

You should want to for yourself and your own moral standards. Perhaps ladies should read the forum guidlines and pay particular attention to the first point, u cannot take the moral highground whilst behaving like a bully. I dont agree with Dollys actions due to my own personal experiences but neither will i sit by and watch a young girl get ganged up on when im sure she didnt deliberately mean to upset anyone.
