Hi Rebecca, I booked two weeks off work and, being in a team of 7, I told my manager and deputy. I was going to lie and just say I pulled a muscle in my back so I could go on light duties but then I thought I would prob get in a right pickle with lying so I just told them the truth. It was quite funny really, because both my manager and deputy both said they wouldn’t mind they’re boobs done! Then I told another two of my female colleagues on my team and they both said the same! It’s not something I planned on telling anyone but I’m glad I did now because I’ve done myself a massive favor to ensure I’m recovering properly.
They were all really supportive of me. And as I’m having uplift as well as 300cc and I know it may take me longer to recover so I will go to my GP before op to obtain a note to say that I am to go on light duties up to 6 weeks after my op pending how well I recover.
It’s up to you lovely, everyone recovers differently. I’ve asked if it can remain confidential as I don’t want to whole organisation to know.
MYA do finance…
Have you arranged a consultation yet honey?
