I work with children that have autism ages 8-16. They can be violent and display challenging behaviour. (biting, hitting, scratching, pushing etc) I have my op on 10th April and taken 2 weeks off work I feel I may need longer? Does anybody do the same kind of work?

I do same sort of work hun but with children age 5-11 I had 16 days off work over Xmas hold. I was okay could have done with another week off but if you keep your wits about you, you will be fine. Just try to avoid getting hit in the chest.

Wow wish I had one of those. But to be honest I didn’t tell my work about my op. I was in a right state week before op as one of the boys started head butting my chest like he knew!!!
I think as long as you don’t do lifting you should be fine and as your colleges know about it they will support and help you when a tricky situation arrives x
