    Hey everyone,
So my BA op is booked for 8th November with Mr Marcellino I’m having 400cc overs, the nerves and anxieties are now starting to kick in. I always worry about the unknown, I just wondered if anyone could give me an insight of exactly what happens start to finish obviously I know the basics of what’s going to happen with going to my consultations but would like to hear from people who have gone through it. Also I know this sounds like a daft question but day cases, what did you need to pack to take with you on the day? Sophie xxx

I’m sat waiting to go to surgery so once I’m feeling alive again later I’ll give you a full account. I came in this morning shaking and felt sick but within 30 minutes my nerves had gone, everyone is so lovely! Xxxx

I had my surgery 14th September. Admission time was 11. Went to my room had to do a pregnancy test for my stockings gown and paper pants on. You meet the anaesthetist, surgeons and nurse who go through questions and what not. You then walk down to theatre lay on a bed and they’ll send you to sleep (really easy nothing to worry about) you wake up in recovery- takes you back to your room and just relax. Have a bite to eat and get up when your ready.

Nothing to worry about it was really relaxing for me apart from the pain after surgery. All I took was PJs for after surgery so I didn’t have to change once I got home. Phone charger and clean knickers. I’d defiantly take a toothbrush aswell because your mouth is awful afterwards x

Hey! So I got to hospital at 11am shaking feeling sick with nervwe and experience a mixture of emotions, one minute thinking shit why have I booked this and the next thinking OMG I’m going to have boobs!

The nurse came and showed me to my room and did pregnancy test, blood pressure and gave me my sexy gown and paper pants to put on! After this my nerves had completely gone, they really really do put you at ease.

Then later on the surgeon came and drew on me then the anaesthetist came and asked me some questions did all the blood pressure listened to my chest etc. I went to surgery about 5:30pm – I had SUCH a long wait, I was so bored and hungry!

Didn’t even feel the cannula go in, one minute I was chatting away about aperol spritz and the next awake demanding the lights be turned off hahaha.

Woke up from the anaesthetic in theatre then straight back to sleep and woke up again in recovery around 6:30 and got wheeled back to my room about 7. Had regular blood pressue checks and was given water, biscuits, toast and tea!

I really don’t know why I worried so much, I promise it is absolutely fine!! In fact, I enojoyed the whole experience (apart from the 6.5 hour wait), especially the anaesthetic which is the one and only thing I was worried about before!

Barely slept last night, it’s a nightmare sleeping upright but so far my boobs aren’t causing me much pain they’re just achey. It’s my back that hurts most cos of sleeping sat up!

Hope this helps and your op goes well! Trust me, I’m the biggest fanny ever and believe me when I say there’s no need to worry 🙂

    Xxxxx
