How long is it going to be till I can pick her up etc? Really starting to worry!! x

I remember feeling exactly the same – my baby is 1 and quite a chunky little fella! I think everyone heals differently, and unders maybe take a little longer than overs. I had overs and was lifting baby (carefully) just up onto sofa etc after about a week, and gets easier daily from there. It really wasn’t as big a deal as I feared it would be – and four weeks down the line it’s as if it never happened (apart from the big boobies, lol)! You’ll be fine hon – when we have to cope we do x

I’m worrying about this too as i’m having unders with a 7 month old and 3.5 year old. From what others have said you’ll need somebody there to lift her for the first week

    xx

Hiya ladies i had unders last thurs and have a two and a half year old, she is really capable and does a lot for herself but my mum has pretty much taken her down to her house for me as I cant do much at all (a lot less than I thought) Today day 3 my lil girl came home and we had sunday lunch and i was tempted to keep her here but I cant lift her at all cant get her clothes on, cant get her in out of bath and my husband works early till late so my mum took her back with her :( see how I feel tomorrow. I would say if you have help around the cllock at home then thats ok but you dont want to rush it and end up ruining all the hard work that has gone on your boobs not to mention the money! x x x x x x x

I had my surgery done last tuesday and I asked my mum to come and help me. The nurse told me that I couldn’t lift weights for the first 2 weeks. My daughter is 20 month old and weights 12kg. We had to organize things in a way that my daughter wouldn’t see me all day for the first 3 days otherwise she would want to come to my lap and even today it’s still painful. When she wants to seat on my lap I have to put a pillow between my breasts and her back because it’s painful but now it’s getting better so hopefully soon there’ll be no need for pillow.

At the moment my husband is the one that gives her bath, puts her in bed and does all the lifting and still don’t intend to hold her until Saturday which is when he goes to Singapore and then I’ll have to start doing his job. But even then, if I feel that I’m still in some pain I’ll try to arrange things in a way that I can keep avoid lifting her.

It’s a lot of money to be messing things off. xxx
