Would I know if I had damaged my nose?

Hi,

I went out for a night out for the first time since my op last night and I’m worried I might have damaged my nose. I’m two months post op after open rhino with Dr G., and I’ve been so careful with my nose since then, but last night it got bashed when my friend tried to land a massive kiss on me, and again when I went to talk to someone over the loud music. It didn’t bleed or anything, it doesn’t really hurt and doesn’t look any different, but I’m still worried. Would I know if I’ve damaged it? All advice appreciated, thanks.

Hi hun im sure its ok.. I banged my nose after the op think I was about 6-8 weeks as long as your not in a lot of pain it should be fine.. Just have to be careful cos were not even supposed to be touching our noses for four months but I think you would definitely know if you had damaged it cos you’d stil be in pain!! xxxxxx

Hi hun,I’m now over 6 months post op , I banged my nose really hard two months post op… So much so that it swelled up for a few days after! I went to seer dr G and all was fine, he said the only way you would have damaged it would be if it looked different as in any new lumps or bumps so it’ll be absolutly fine don’t worry bout it, it’s actually a lot more resilient than u think, he said by 6 weeks ur bones hve already set and it would take a lot to damage it xxx
