It’s horrible isn’t it! Noone really warns you about that bit enough! Expect to feel it for up to a week, i didn’t wanna take pics as unlike 99% of the girls on this site i never started a size 6/8, and that first week i looked like i was in my 3rd trimester!!! It will get better, i got dosed up on laxatives and cut down on the antibiotics (bad i know) xx

Ducolax works on the colon only so wont mess with your antibiotics, it’s brill!! xxi

Wow that’s a long time sascia hun, i feel for ya! Eat sugar free polos too, strange as it sounds the sugar substitute in them acts as a laxative. I’ve been a couple of times but not as much as usual and I’m full of wind. Only good thing is I’ve lost my appetite so at least I’m not stuffing myself with food while I can’t go to the gym lol xx

Mine only lasted 2 days, the girls on ere advised allsorts which I took but only lyin down helped! It was awful!

Sascia I got given lactolose in hospital, that sorted me right out as I’d not been for days either. They gave me double the dose & I was ok then xxx

Mine is still there (after 13 weeks) cos I was comforted madly by ben and jerry! Don’t let them comfort you and the bloat will leave in a week!!!

I couldnt go for 10DAYS (!) YES 10 days…. i went to hospital and the nurse basically laughed at me as if i was pretending, so i cried and left A&E i had tried EVERYTHING been to docs they prescribed something that didnt work, chemist (id been in every day for 5 days!) told me to go to A&E as i couldnt eat and if i did i was sick…. BUT

My dad reccommended andrews salts… 1/4 pint of water and 4 spoons in it… i was so bad it took me 1 container of it till it worked… JUST DONT LEAVE THE HOUSE!

I clearly have a tummy made of steel… you girls might be more normal in which case you would probably poop yourself :-)

hehe- BTW I honestly looked bigger after this than I did when I was 9months preg…. Hopefully no oneis eating brekkie and reading this xx

I think I must have v odd symptoms, I had no bloatedness (although it may just be that I couldn’t tell because of my spare tyre anyway) but I was struggling to go to the loo until I stopped my painkillers, as soon as my appetite came back everything reverted back to normal. And I also managed to lose about 3lbs which was weird. Unfortunately, my luck with that has meant that something else suffers, I had my throat all cut and bruised from the tube (still hurts 6 days later) and I am still in a lot of pain and find it hard to move around. Macom feels waaaay too tight and I can’t even summon the strength to leave the house (or even put my makeup on). I’d swap that for the bloated tummy I think, I may fit into my skinny jeans but I can’t move well enough to put them on, wish I could just fast forward a week. Sitting at home in my pjs is not as much fun as I thought it would be!
