Hey girlies this is my boobie story

found out on saturday my admission time was 7-00am for yesterday. Got there for 6-50am. The hospital is really lovely place. I was greeted by a lovely nurse called christina who was my nurse for the day. She showed me to my room (room 1) and gave me my lovely gown, stockings and paper knickers to change into! i still had a really sore throat which id had since the thursday and had been told by the nurse on mon that there was a chance my op could be postponed which would be down to the aneasthatist to decide once he’d looked at it, so in the back of my mind i sill thought they wouldnt be going ahead as it was still red and really painful! the nurse came back after about 10mins and went through some paperwork with me and told me all being well i was first on the list and was due to go down at 8.30! The aneasthatist then came in and asked some questions about my health etc i told him about my throat but he didnt even look at it which i thought was strange, he just listened to my chest to make sure it was clear which it was!! the doctor then came in with more paperwork and he also didnt look at my throat just listened to my chest and i was given the all clear to go ahead yeeeeyyy! by this time it was 8.00 so with half an hour to go i started to get really nervous!! at 8.20 one of the recovery nurses came in with yet more paperwork then said it was time to go, she walked me round to theatre and as soon as i got on the bed i just broke down in tears!! id convinced myself that my op would be cancelled so think the reality of it all just hit me all at once and i was scared to death. I have a huge phobia of needles which didnt help, i was shaking like a leaf but the staff were absolutely brilliant i had the canula put in which was a bit painful but went in really quickly and easily. They just chatted away with me for about 5 mins i think to try and distract me and calm me down lol. i didnt even notice the aneasthatist come in whilst we were chatting and start to administer the aneasthetic i just all of a sudden felt it really cold slowly running from my hand up my arm and it was really painful which i never expected!! he then placed a gas mask over my mouth and said he was giving me some oxygen to help me breath but again i think this was because i was really in a state of panik, i just remember shouting out whats happening? why is my arm feeling cold? its really hurting is this normal?? hahaha and thats all i can remember!! The next i knew i was being woke up but to be honest its all a blur. i got back into my room at 10.30 so was down for 2hrs in total. I remember making a phonecall to a friend as soon as i got back in my room but cant really remember much of the conversation lol i must have still been completely out of it! i wasnt in any pain though whatsoever which was a pleasent surprise as i thought id be in a lot of pain. i was offered tea and toast but didnt feel up to anything i spent most of the day dozing as i struggled to keep my eyes open. One of the recovery nurses came in about 3.00pm and was taking the mick out of me sayin she’d had to take paracetamol as id given them all a headache with all my ranting and raving and sayin i’d never shut up and was really loud lol. She said the first thing i said was is it done? can i look at them? then said i went mad saying they werent big enough and he’d given me the wrong size hahaha i dont remember any of it!!!! At about 4-00 my nurse came in and said i could go home if i felt fit but at that point i was starving as id had nothing all day so she gave me a lovely menu to chose from the went off to get it for me. i ate my food and told her id like to see mario before i left. He was doing his rounds and came in about 30mins later. He checked my boobs said that all was fine and he was confident that i would have a fabulous end result he’s given me a breast band to wear which actually feels fine, he said to keep it on for 2wks at first but i pulled my face cos i wanted to wear my sports bra before then so he said 1 wk lol. i finally left the hospital around 7-00pm still not really feeling any pain just slight discomfort around my ribs, got home at 7-30pm and within an hour the pain started to kick in took co-codamol before bed which eased it slightly and set my alarm for 4-00am this morn to dose up, i woke up in agony and really struggled getting up out of bed! same again at 8-00 this morn agony again and when i first sat up i got really sharp burning pains in my left boob running from the bottom to my nipple which iv had on and off all day. About 10-00am this morn started to feel really unwell getting very hot and ended up being sick! iv put it down to the co-codamol so have stopped that and am now on just paracetamol which really doesnt do anything for the pain Although i am in pain it is bearable and not half as bad as what i’d imagined and im a right baby when it comes to pain anyway lol.

But thats my story so far im sorry if ive bored anyone lol but i didnt want to miss anything out! So far i am really happy with my boobies although its really early days and they have got so much changing to do over the coming wks and even with the pain i would definately do it all again tommorrow!!
