Yey :-) My Story with MYA & Highgate 7th Aug!

Well, after years of waiting & wanting the day was finally here! My admission time was 10am at Highgate in London, so left home at just after 8 as did’t want to get caught in any traffic!….lol arrived just after 9!! Receptionist was lovely, we filled out the paperwork & waited for my room.

In my room I met my nurse who took my BP & temp then measured me for my sexy socks to go with my sexy gown & not forgetting the ultra sexy pants! Not sure on times as didnt want to look! One of the anaesthetist’s came down to chat & make sure all was good & then Mr Fallahdar came to see me. We decided to go with the 525cc. He drew a line & some dots on me, tooks some pics & then went to get ready!!

Another anaesthetist came to get me & walked me down to surgery. He was funny & made me laugh. I said how I wake up crying from anaesthetic before & he said they’re not allowed to pinch you anymore to wake you up lol! 😮

Well in went the white stuff & off I go to sleep :-0

I wake up in no pain, just a slight heavy feeling on my chest!!

They wheel me back to my room & my Hubby said I was gone about an hour & a half, not too bad! No crying, just a very dry mouth!, So tea & toast it was. Plenty of ice bags kept being placed on my new chest, which I have to say was lovely

All was going great, in & out of some sleep, more tea & buscuits, half a sandwich & a wee later Mr Fallahdar comes in to see me. All went went, very pleased I can go home! So I stand up to get dressed, now this must have been around 6.30pm, & all I can say is that after moving around, slowly mind you, all the paid medication must have fallen to my feet! lol! I had to sit down very quick as I felt dizzy & sick & then thats when the pain in my right breast started Hurt to take a breath or to move so Hubby called the nurse. She called the doctor, who couldn’t see anything obvious so they called Mr Fallahdar. This is when he explained the pain was all to do with my rather large, (but very nice!!) muscle in my right breast. Nothing had ruptured or was bleeding it was purly the natural trauma to the muscle where it had been lifted to allow for the implant. Mr F was very sad to see he had caused me pain!! Awe I said not his fault really as I wanted this BA :-)But boy did this hurt Any hoo, more pain relief given, moved down to level 1 as was not going home anymore, I was in for the night! Everyone was lovely at Highgate, they looked after me very well & kept checking in on me & dosing me up which was fantastic! By the morning I felt much better & was allowed home by 10am

V pillow is a must & regular medication is too. Dont worry about how they look now, just think about how they will look soon

hi mojo had mine done sat too , and agree mr falladhar couldnt be nicer the whole experience is very smooth , just wish implant would settle into pocket as my boobs look so strange but mr falladhar was very confident in saying it will look very normal in coming weeks ,do yours look strange at the mo , i had partials and he said my muscle was very thick and strong so will have to relax how r yours looking

happy to finally hear your story mojo, was wondering when u woz gonna write something , how is everything now then, swelling, stiffness etc..mine are soo swollen especially on the left side because of my weak muscle haha

Hi ya, I am still very swollen at the mo, including my belly! I pray for an early release lol!!

My back aches from the sleeping upright position at night & boy do I get a numb bum!! HeHe! But apart from all that I shall see the nurse on Friday & hope to get the all clear. I shall mention that I have some numbness around a few areas of my breasts, but I think/hope that is just normal Mr Fallahdar also mentioned that he wants me to order a breast band with the nurse.

I had a shallow bath tonight….it was lovely….until I got stuck!! lol:-) Note to self dont sit in the bath, just kneel hahahaha 😮 And especialy dont lock the door so your Hubby cant get in!! I so glad the taps are screwed on tight!! xx

i have to get breast band too, mojo are yours high up and weird lookin

yes mine are coned shapped & up high. I think Mr Fallahdar said this was due to the large muscle but will go down nicely

I’m taking it all in my stride really, much better than I thought I would. I do have the odd emotional moment, but this forum has helped so much xx

I am taking pictures every two days so I can see them change slightly & eventually can see from start to finish!! Are you taking pics?

have taken a few but so hate the look of them at the mo cause my muscle was thick he had to push implant up high so they look vert high and flat at top but he assured me they will drop into place and be lovely and he has such a lovely way about him you just trust him so like you im not worrying too much yet iv looked at pics on internet and they do take a good two months to drop and a good 6 months to look perfect i just thought it would be instant silly me….my bum is numb too ..x

Just had another look & yes mine are flat at the top, up high, cone shapped & numb in places……….but they will be worth it! I can just about see the potential! and Yes Mr Fallahdar does have a way of reassuring you.

hi mojo, were u originally in for a day case then had to stay over night to be watched? if so did you have to pay the extra for staying in? x

Hi leanne21, I was originally just a day case. So far no bill has been mentioned & as far as i’m aware there shouldn’t be as it wasn’t by choice that I stayed. xx

Hi Ladies! Had my post op today, now just got little bits of tapes on my scars! Feel a bit vulnerable with it! What an emotional rollercoaster hey? I keep looking at my boobs, I’m really pleased, I’m 6 days gone now, and they feel a bit softer. Long way to go yet, I get so tired!!! Just want to nod off all the time! Been staying with a friend for a week, back home tomorrow..
