    S,

I went as a day case and was fine. I have had sickness before with GA so asked for the anti sickness stuff and it worked. Everyone is different though. I woke up fine and ready to go home but it takes others longer. I don’t think i would have slept well if I had stayed overnight. It was definately worth saving

    hi Sbear,
i was in the same position as u when i was chosing day or night just didnt no what to choose. i have never been under anasthetic either so i opt for overnight stay. this way i no im gna b looked after. the nurses come in and check on u all night and for me i think i would feel more comfortable staying overnight incase anything was to go wrong. i have also heard that day cases arent too bad either. the thing that swayed me was i will have to travel back to watford from highgate and i dont really think i will want that in case i in alot of pain. better off doin the travelling the next morning. hope this helps hun

    Hi All

    Thankyou for your advise
I am going to see the surgeon on Friday, so see what he says. I am also looking to book the date and give deposit. When do you have to decide on whether to stay over night or just go for the day case? Is it when i book?

Really happy for you Sara, it must be such a relief!

Well, I am feeling very very very excited, but for some reason every now and again I stop and think about what I am doing, and I feel a little scared. As this is an operation that will be with me for the rest of my life. Which is a little daunting…but then I just think…WOW!! Big boobs soon!!! hehe! I’m worried about trying to hide them from my parents though…but like everyone else I’ve been adding bigger chicken fillets to my bra so when I get the real things, it won’t be so noticeable!!! lol.

Just think Sara, when I have mine done, it will only be 2/3 weeks til you get yours!!! woo!!

I wish someone else was on the same day as me though!! :(

Oh Amylou- I’m currently a 32 a/b and have been told I can have 380cc overs which should take me to a C/D but I spoke to my patient co-ordinator because I think I want the next size up which is 410 cc. This should make me a DD/E. It’s just because I’m worried that paying all that money and not being a good big size after all the swelling goes down!!! But they have ordered me both 380s and 410s and Mr Adamo will decide on the day of surgery as to which ones he will put in for me!!

    2 weeks to go!!!

    Menu

Hi, that sounds very normal for the healing stage you are in. first the scar is red or dark or even slightly purple in color. as it takes 1-2 months for healthy new cell to reach the surface of your skin and repair the the injured site, it can stay this colour before it starts to fade. The fact that your scar is thin is a very good sign, you obviously have no keloid scar to be worried about. happy healing and nice to hear your recovery process. x

    Hi Kiarah,
I am a 34A and have been told that 380cc under the muscle will be best, it will look more natural because i do not have enough tissue there and would see the implant more so it wouldnt look very natural – prob best if you speak to your pc again or your surgeon and see what they advise x

    Rio,

I was a small 32C and had my BA on Tuesday. I had 410cc medium high profile and currently wearing a 36E. My rib cage was swollen and have bought a 34DD which looks at though it will fit perfect. They do not look huge like they sound!!!! Hope this helps. I know its a nightmare before the op as everyone gets a different result. Trust the surgeon but make sure you feel comfortable with the decision. I nearly went for 460 but changed last minute and glad I did x

Thanks Kerry, looking at the 2 implants, there didn’t seem to be a huge size difference between them both and he said my cup size should be the same with whichever one I went with but as I have stretched tissue from breastfeeding he thinks 460 will give me more fullness. I think that’s what he meant anyway.

Did he think you should have gone for the bigger one? And what size did you tell him you wanted to be at your consultation? I told him I wanted full d/dd.

Hope you are recovering well hun, I bet you’re thrilled with your new boobs!!

    Rio,

Mr Alvi said the smallest I could have was 380?? I think. I went to an E when I was pregnant but then they vanished!!! I told him wanted to be a nice DD when I first met him. He said I could go upto a 525 too but it was way too big and my co-ordinator scared me and said I could end up a G with 460’s. I went for a second consultation after deciding on 460 and when I tried them again, the 460 felt too heavy. Must have got carried away in the first place!!!! I settled for the 410 and am well chuffed with them. Had a really good experience. Had no pain at all its amazing. My back is killing though from sleeping upright and the support bra makes my back ache too. But as i said, can’t believe I am only 3 days post op and can do anything. No problem moving my arms to an extent and you know when you are moving them too high!!!!

    Hi girls

When i had my consultation with Mr Adamo, he suggested 410 hp overs for me. I was a small 36B (had breastfed 3 children) but I really didn’t want to go any bigger than a D so asked for the next size down, which is 380. Felt much more comfortable with them, although i know there is not much differance. I had my op 9 days ago with the 380 hp overs, and i’m over the moon! I’m wearing a 36DD sports bra. They are still a bit swollen, so hopefully will end up the D that i wanted in the first place :) xx

    Hi Rio

No, he just said that he thought the 410s would look good on my frame as i’m quite tall (5’7″ and size 10/12, 10 stone). It was me that was a bit doubtfull as i was only going on what my sister had had (only 310s) and panicked! The 380s are only 30cc diff so he was happy to go with them. Yes, i think its best to trust your surgeon as they are the experts, and i’m sure that if i had gone with the 410s then they would have be fine. But i am very happy with my results, they are fab and i’m a 36DD :) xx

In reply to: Mr Adamo Consultation

    Menu

The more I think about it the more I think the 410’s are more what I’m after. I haven’t told anyone I’m getting it done other than hubby and a friend so I don’t want to be in the position where i’m finding them difficult to conceal lol. You may have made my mind up there hun, thanks xxx

In reply to: Mr Adamo Consultation

    Menu

Yes i was exactly the same, only told hubby, one friend and my daughter. I really didn’t want it to be very noticeable, and have everyone looking at me. I did this for myself, and although my new boobies look huge when i’m undressed, they actually don’t look huge when you’re dressed. I had always worn very padded bras before my op, and now although i look bigger, its not too huge a differance if that makes sense.
If you voice your concerns to your surgeon, he will advise you and go with what you want :)

    Good luck xx

I went back to work today & managed to disguise them in a baggy dress but not sure how many I have & will have to get into ‘normal’ work clothes one day……but my thoughts are most people are so preoccuppied about themselves they don’t really notice other people that much anyway!!
Will let you know about that one! My office is fairly smart so will just have to buy new clothes……doh.
Rio, I saw a programme about boobs (am obsessed) & she was wearing chicken fillets that were sticky….not that I wore them (the one time I did I was at Salsa & all the wiggling made it escape – I had to fish it out of my stomach area before it landed on the dancefloor, never again).R xx

heehee yes chicken fillets – so good being able to throw them away now :)

Sonia, Tesco do quite a good range of padded bras, i got a couple about 6 months ago and have been wearing them. They made me look about a C cup i think. Also i had a bra which had pockets in, so use to stuff them with my chicken fillets! I also had one of those gel filled bras, you can buy them in Debenhams.

Really looking to forward to buying pretty unpadded bras now, was looking at them today in M & S :) XX

    Hi Girlies,

Had my BA last wednesday, so a week tomorrow for me. Can I just say, before anything else, I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY NEW BOOBS!!!!!
They’re still quite swollen and bruised but they look fab! Mr Adamo was my surgeon and he was brilliant, really put me at ease on the day (well as much as he could, I was a total wreck!).
I had a bit of pain on day 3, but it was more when I woke up in the morning, throughout the day it became much more bearable. I have been able to get up and do things as normal, I have even been out food shopping (obviously my partner was made to push the trolley haha). I can lift my arms to a certain extent but my body soons tells me when I can’t go any further. I am absolutely thrilled with my results.
Seriously ladies, once you’ve had them done you won’t regret it!
Mr Adamo recommended 410 overs for me, I went from a small b/c to a 32 d/dd at the moment. I don’t have that round, fake look to be honest. I’m amazed at how natural they look already, I was terrified they might be up around my neck but they’re not.
I thought about 380’s but I thought the surgeon knows best so I let him decide. I’m so glad I didn’t go smaller than he recommended, they’re just right and I am now in proportion. I’m 5’1″ and 8 and a half stone and I am chuffed to bits :-)
Good luck to everyone who has they’re surgery coming up, you won’t regret it xxx

aww what a great story jo, thanks for sharing. Lovely to know you had such a good experience and with such fab results. You’ve put my mind at ease cos I’m same height and currently 32c/d and he wants me to have 460 overs which I’m nervous of but maybe they won’t take me as big as i’m terrified of, I just need to trust him.

hi nicky, it took me 6 weeks to earn the money, some people take longer some sooner, just depends how much time you wanna spend on the website, i got my implants with mya yes and the payment wasnt complicated, i made my goal in august last year you then have to wait 30 days to be able to download your papers, your papers are a legal document agreeing to before and after shots basically, but they dont need to be topless. I didnt actually send them back until july as i have had some pesonal problems and then it took them about a week to transfer payment to mya.

Have you had a BA and if so, which implants did you have?? I read that the FDA are undergoing lots of research into the implants at the moment, but it was provisional ‘approved’.
