Blood tests

Hi all, I had my pre-op today and all went well except I need to go to my GP to get bloods done to check for Sickle Cell. I know I don’t have it or the trait but they would like to be sure. Anyone had to go to their GP for bloods and have you had to pay for the service?Thanks

i need to book in for some blood tests too. need to ring in at the GP and find out if theyll do it,, i hate my g.p and i didnt want to have to talk to them and explain what for…x

MYA did my blood tests after my surgeon requested them.

I had to go to my GP for my blood tested for sickle cell also! Just called them up and explained, went down and the doctor knew it was pre op check and had my results back 2 days later ( I called up to ask for them because my doctors are slow) which I then have to Mya 🙂 easy peasy x

Thanks Adara, will call the doc tomorrow and take it from there x
