I am a natural C cup and have been advised 325-375 overs, any advice please

Hi girlies
i had my appointment with Dr Traynor yesterday. My bra size is a natural C cup. I want fullness and maybe go up to a DD or E cup. He recommended between 325-375 over the muscle.
I trust him completely, but i have to decide whether to go very natural at 325 or the bigger size 375. Any advice from girls that have gone for similar sizes would be much appreciated.

I just had 375 HP unders but i was an empty b cup so your outcome would be allot bigger than mine, im 8 days post op they felt huge when they were very swollen but i can see them taking shape now and there allot smaller, drop & fluff will probably take me to a DD allthough im hoping for just a D x

Thanks claudine, i cant imagine how it must feel after the op. I am happy they have settled into a boob shape for you now! i have read people say its a roller coaster of emotion, are you really sore? They look a great size from what I can see.

Ah I’m in the same place I’m a b/c I don’t know to go for a 300 or 325 overs!? I want to be very natural d/dd max! X

Rachel I know, its so hard to decide, but then i read the messages on hear and laugh. Girls have said 25cc is like a tablespoon of extra gel so I shouldn’t worry too much but in my head the difference between 350 and 400 is massive. Have you had a consultation yet?

I’m defo not going bigger than 350 I think I’m swaying more towards 300 as if they are to small I can wear padding if they are to big I’m screwed! Yeah I’m booked in for my surgery 27th April! Shitting it! Everyone on here is so helpful! X

Hi Becki I had 375cc hp unders on 30th March I was a 32b/c to begin with and I have just been and got another sports bra which is a 34f but they don’t look that big and I think they will be smaller when the swelling goes down. I’ll try uploading a picture for you. I’m 5Ft4 and 9st 5 before the op, size 10/8 xx

Hey, I got 375cc overs on the 3rd march and I’m happy with the size of mine, I was a 34B and I havnt been measured yet cos I’m not 6wpo yet I’m only 4wpo but I have tried a few bras on and I’m an E/F. I have pics on my profile if you want to add me ☺ x

Thank you girls for your answers. Olivia do you think overs are easier to rcover from, has your recovery so far been okay? I was a bit worried that I might not have enough breast tissue to cover over the implant, I was surprised when Dr Traynor suggested overs, but he said he wouldn’t consider anything else for me and I trust his opinion.
I am hoping the recovery will be easier, and I go to the gym a lot so it will be better if I still want to workout my chest muscles ( I believe). But I can’t imagine an implant that size under my breast tissue, the implants look so big!!! It’s very exciting, but I am nervous as well.

Hey that’s no problem. I’m a 32B now at the minute. He didn’t even consider unders for me he said overs straight away. So I trust his opinion. Going back tomorrow for another consultation to see what he says about sizes and things. Think I’m going to go for 350 cause I’m terrified of them being huge. If I went under I would get 375 though. I feel like overs always look a lot bigger xx

good luck Jess with your next appointment, its great fun trying on the different sizes, i didn’t think there was a massive difference between 350 and 375, both still looked in proportion to my frame. Take a few different tops to try on, it really helps to see what size fills out your clothes for the look you want.
I would prefer 375, but i am gonna trust Dr Traynors decision on the day.

I had another consultation with him and he said i could have unders swell if I wanted. All the pictures I’ve seen look like those with unders have a fuller look and there implants stay higher up for longer, maybe this is to do with the muscle? Unsure what to do now though xx

Why did he say overs in the first place do you think? He has lots of experience and must have thought they would suit you best. Did he explain to you the difference between having them under or over, the pluses and minuses of both?

@beckis I think he said overs cause I have enough breast tissue to start with and he said there would be no need for a more invasive surgery for me. All the results I had liked had been unders so thats why I went back to ask about it. He said higher risk for capsular contraction with overs and higher risk for double bubble with unders. He said breast feeding doesn’t really come into it as you shouldn’t have a problem with either placement and I said apparently mammograms are harder to read with over the muscle implants, he said that is true but if they were to be concerned then they would do a more in depth scan. So the risks are pretty much the same.

He spoke to me about research that was done with lots of surgeons in which they were shown hundreds of images of women with implants and they had to guess the placement and they were only right 48% of the time, so less than half. He also said he never gets people say they wish they went under the muscle when they have had overs. He thinks I’ve just seen a lot more results of people with under’s (which is true as thats whats mainly on here).
Such a hard choice. I just feel like maybe under the muscle placement stay perkier for longer because they are held by muscle aswell? i have no idea what to pick now lol xx

i initially wanted unders for all the reasons you stated, my Mum had unders nearly 30 years ago and they are still fine and look fab. So I think unders are a great option. I do a lot of fitness and workouts so I know that overs are better for this reason as the muscle can flatten the implant if your chest muscles are big.
also Dr Traynor said because I have plenty of breast tissue if I go under i will have a implant with soft squigy breast tissue hanging off the top (LOVELY) loool.
i feel confident in him as a surgeon and completly trust his advise and opinion, he has done over 20,000 operations so i think he can tell almost instantly when he see’s a womans breasts what size and method will give the best result.
Every persons frame, back width, lifestlyle and desired result is slightly different so I think he makes his decision based on many factors. One girl could be similar to me breast size, but her back width or lifestyle or desired end result would mean he gives us different type of implants.
Any way hun, thats where my head is at with the choices, I’m trusting him to deliver what I have asked for. :)) now I have nothing to think about except what recovery bra to order hahaha xxx

Yeah your absolutely right. He initially said overs so I don’t know whether to just for that as its what he recommended to begin with for me. The thought of having my own breast tissue sat on the implant for unders terrifies me haha as I’m not flat chested x

I’ve gone for the macon signature bra. Tried it on and it seems dead comfy. Probably with by the M&S one people rave about aswell but would rather wait a few days after my op so I can try it on for the size x

Hi @beckis I’m a natural C cup and I’m having 350cc HP overs with Dr Mounir on the 24th. He said they can never predict exactly what size you will end up with but I could be a D, DD or E which are all good for me. He suggested overs and I’m happy with that and going with his recommendation. Like you, the only thing I have to do now is sort my bras (and v pillow!) xx

I am thinking to do the same, a Macom bra first then when i can get an idea of size I will get an M&S one. Its so helpful being able to read the posts on this forum, a lot of useful advise about post op bras.

This M&S extra high impact post surgery sports bras are so comfortable I’m happy to wear them 24/7 & I have just ordered another. They are advertised advertised as £25 but the vat is taken off at the till so they work out £20.80. X

We will share our journey together 🙂 and Jess is similar time to you as well. I will keep you posted of my op as I am a few days ahead of you two. 🙂
I cant wait to get them done, i am counting down the days. I don’t feel worried about anything at the moment. I am going shopping this week for front fastening loose blouses, PJ’s, Arnica tablets and V pillow.
Where are you having your op?

Tracey how long did you have to wait until you knew what cup size to order? Did you measure yourself at home, or did you go in to M7S and get one of the staff to measure you?
you look fab by the way, when did you have your op?

I had someone drive me to the store about 3 days after my op as I wasn’t getting enough support from my macom. I then just took I few sizes into the changing room & picked the one that fit best. I went for quite a tight fit as I knew the swelling would go eventually lol (& it was the biggest cup they did).

Hi Becki, I’m having mine in Preston. Not worried about anything either now, just excited! Got my PJs last week so that’s one thing ticked off but going to get arnica tablets too – my face was so bruised after I had my nose done so I want to do whatever I can to stop that happening again – didn’t realise how much shopping would be involved! That would be great, and thanks for the friend request, can’t wait to here how it goes – what date are you? Xx

Hey Girls! I had my op on Monday just gone, not in that much pain but i think that’s because I had overs. I had 350 cc high profile… i’ll try and upload the photo that i took once I was straight out of surgery. Mr Mounir was really pleased with himself haha! X

Are you having overs or unders?
I’m in a bit of pain today, but i’ve ran out of codeine tablets so thats probably why! Still very swollen, i just can’t wait to visit the nurse on Tuesday so she can reassure me that everything’s okay!

@flossie Hi Nadia, yes this forum is great, so much info and really good to follow other girls journey’s. Arnica was recommended in tablet form to help reduce bruising and help with healing. I bought mine in boots for £4.95 take for a week before your operation xx

@xnatj91x I am having 375 overs on Tuesday (2 days and counting ;)) i am so excited, but feeling a bit nervous now about having a drip put in, having an operation and then being in pain afterwards. its starting to feel real now the days getting closer. Hope your healing goes very well and passes quickly. Your pics look great xx

@bethaa Hiyya Beth, I think 325cc will deffo give you a D cup, might even give you a bigger size. Some of the girls on here have had 250/275 and have a really good size and shape. I think it depends totally on our body shape and natural breast size as to what cup we are after the op. Keep us posted on your journey hun xx

@beckis awh you’ll be absolutely fine! Having the anesthetic put in is alitte uncomfortable but within seconds, i was out like a light!
It’s just the waiting around that makes you feel nervous! Make sure you’re surrounded by lots of pillows when you’re home! I just cant wait until’ i can sleep laying down! Absolute nightmare sleeping sitting up! I think you’ll feel more discomfort than pain. So excited for you, can’t wait to see the pics! 🙂 x
