Sorry if I was being TOO blunt for you but really I’m right, it’s only a few thousand…not hundreds of thousand. Anyone with patience can afford it eventually. Iv waited 2 yrs until I’m comfortable enough for surgery. My partner of 5 yrs is still waiting to see my chest… I haven’t wore a bikini since I was like 11… Still I wouldn’t accept a free BA on NHS as I would feel guilty for the people who really do need NHS money for physical health…not emotional. X

i have first hand delt with mental health i have bipolar and struggled so much to even get the confidence to go into nursing, i do understand people being upset about “free cosmetic surgery” but then what about all of these single not willing to work parents (not a dig my mum was single parent) that are bleeding the country dry every one has there reasons for requesting help the blind man the alco even the pretty girl brimming with confidence we pay our taxes we work our bums off if we need help from the goverment are we not entitled to it?

we have familys living in mansions having housing benifit paid and driving bentlys, alcoholics taking payments for the daily booze fix and junkies taking methadone at the cost of the NHS…end of the day you cant offer to help the blind man with out then offering helping the deaf man

A lot of cancers are self inflicted through abuse of our own bodies…..I would never say oooo no they don’t deserve treatment in the same way I think someone who’s mentally distressed due to their body should be helped also….I smoke too much, I drink to much and I’m sure in 50 years I’ll be sucking up NHS funds…..a lot more than the cost of a boob job for someone who’s mentally suffering

My auntie,Had her breast removed 2years,ago and wouid of been on a long nhs waitin list! But decided to pay privately to have recon,Some women dont have that option x they need that money! x

I’m sorry to hear that and I agree that no one should have to wait for emergency treatment, the reason this whole thing has wound me up is no one ever asked jess her circumstances….ffs the poor girl could have a serious mental health issue or suffer from an eating disorder etc which has damaged her body and not let her develope. Not everything is black and White……

At the end of the day we all pay taxes, we basically put OUR own money into the NHS so really if someone is seriously depressed about their boobs to the point it is taking over their lives, they have a right to use the money they gave through taxes to their benefit. x

Personally i was qualified for boobs on nhs as i never developed as u will see from my pics. However i didnt feel this was right. I aint ill aint needing it jus would like to have boobs for me… Therefore i said thanks but no thanks and paid for my boobs. My gp was amazed.

I would never judge anyone, however if everyone who claimed to be depressed got a new part of their body our nhs would be further up shit creek.

I read ur post orinally and the nhs cant give boobs to people who are tooo depressed as they dont feel the boobs will help 100%.

The NHS wont give you a ba if its just the apperance that bothers you but if your really unhappy have you tried finance? I would say try not to take money of the nhs for it as that money really could save someones life but there are other ways to raise the funds. totaly agree this forum is for questions and answers…this young girl came to us girls with ba experience for help and others have pitch forked her shes not dole wolla or drug addict shes a pretty girl who just wants to feel like a women in her own skin xx

I,am in 2minds! my ba wasnt purely cosmetic a couple of years ago,ONE Boob shrunk…by a cup size I didnt even think of the Nhs,it got 2much to bear so i took out a loan I stopped shoppin and take aways to meet my repayments on the loan! Cut backs…why cant she do that?x
