had a shower? 10 days (After I had my stitches out)
slept on your side? was told I could after 10 days but kept accidently rolling on my side before that anyway!
had sex? 7 days
stopped taking painkillers? only took 2 paracetamol on day 2
went back to work? after 2 weeks
wore a wired bra? Haven’t yet (now 6 weeks po)
felt human again? I didn’t get a really good night’s sleep until week 4….then I felt human again!
Do you wish you’d gone bigger? Yes, I’m quite broad so could have easily gone bigger….maybe next time
Any wise words? Trust your surgeon, they know best. Don’t expect people to rally around after you post op, I found because it was an op that I elected to have I didn’t get a lot of rich tea & sympathy! It’s quite an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish, they change constantly, not everybody instantly falls in love with them.

had a shower? was having shallow baths and showers from around day 3 but keeping dressings dry, had propper shower and got scars wet on day 10.
slept on your side? trying now at 2 weeks post op.
had sex? ermm about day 4 or 5 ish i think.
stopped taking painkillers? 5 days post op but was just taking them just incase anyway didnt really need them.
went back to work? 11 days post op
wore a wired bra? still got 4 weeks to wait
felt human again? when i could start getting dressed properly and do my hair and go out so about 4 days post op i washed my hair n went out for a meal! but since ive had dressings off and been able to take showers its been much better!
Do you wish you’d gone bigger? no im very happy at the moment but i really dont think they are as huge as i expected!
Any wise words? definatly listen to your surgeons advice they really do know whats what!, and be prepared to feel bored and a bit of a scruff at home while recovering! lol , i was getting frustrated cause i couldnt get dressed for 1st few days and lived in my pjs hated not been able to have propper cuddles etc with my bf and didnt see my mates much so felt kinda sh!t. xx

Had a shower? Been having bed baths since day 2 (my mum is a carer! hehe) Still havent washed hair
Slept on your side? Not yet as it feels odd. CANNOT WAIT to though!
Had sex? Not yet… Dont like it when boobs move so not sure how im going to get on?! lol
Stopped taking painkillers? Day 4, cocodamol made me feel horrible
Went back to work? Will be 12 days po

Felt human again? Day 5 (human-ish)
Do you wish you’d gone bigger? Not at the momemnt. Patiently waiting for the fluffing fairy
Any wise words? V pillow is a must.
Move as little as possible for at least the first 2 days.
Every one deals with it in different ways but prepare yourself for mental and physical pain/discomfort. For some reason I thought it was going to be a walk in the park so it was a bit of a slap in the face when I came around lol!
And most importantly, BE PATIENT! It can take up to a whole year to heal fully

Any wise words? you cant always compare yourself to people on here for what to expect in terms of size, pain, swelling and what you’ll go through emotionally. EVERYONE is different! and whatever you go through it is always worth it on the other side

Any wise words? Enjoy it!! Its natural to feel nervous but you have nothing to worry about it, the pain for me wasn’t bad at all, more uncomfortable than painful. If you are a day case take a dressing gown and slippers to wear to theatre as the ones they give you are terrible!!

Any wise words? Take as much time off work as you can. I only had a week off but 2 would have been much better! Get a v pillow they are a godsend and finally enjoy enjoy enjoy!! It is an amazing experience and over in a flash!

Do you wish you’d gone bigger? yes and no, lol i think i would have gone 1 size up if given the choice but i might not have got the same shape etc and i am really pleased with the shape so im happy.

wise words pre-op = RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH! and see more than one surgeon if possible. i am so glad i did that as i went with the second surgeon and imo he gave me better options to suit my frame. oh and try not to compare yourself to other ladies on here too much, even with the same stats, we are very different.
wise words post op = Do everything you are advised to do by the surgeon/nurse. Take as much time off work as possible, rest lots, eat & drink well, take all the meds you need, dont worry – they change so much every day & it takes time to get to the final result but its worth the wait x
Final thought (jerry springer style) – To all the pre-op girls, I was pre-op for a looooong time and the post-op girls on here kindly gave me the time and really helped answer all my silly questions, kindly let me see their pre/post op pics and just gave me so much support. So lets show some respect for all the post op ladies and when sending a friend request, send a little message to say hi & ask before adding away

Oh i meant to say, i may be a d/dd but i look a small c in clothes and a small d braless. I’m more than happy with that though.

)I had a shower 5 days as i said, but a proper shower was about day 10 (post op consult was on day 9) and i was well over 2 weeks post op before the pen came off from the op! i was too scared to scrub!

had a shower? – I had a shallow bath (like a puddle) after 3 days then every other day, gentle shower at 10 days once stitches out
)slept on your side? – I actually could only do this comfortably after 6 weeks, which was a long wait as I alwaaaays sleep on my side!!!!
had sex? – 3 weeks!!!! What a relief! But hardly romantic when you’re saying ‘don’ t touch, be careful’ haha!
stopped taking painkillers? Day 2, had an allergic reaction and kept throwing up
(went back to work? – Technically day 7 as I only booked 1 week off but was allowed to work week 2 from home, physically returned day 14!
wore a wired bra? – Bang on 6 weeks
felt human agian? – I felt human just short of the 3 week mark
)Do you wish you’d gone bigger? – i love my boobies and I’m exactly the size I wanted to be but yes I have definite boob greed!!!!
(Any wise words? – Don’t underestimate the backache you’ll get from sleeping sitting up!!! Invest in a v pillow or 2, hot water bottle, a duvet to go underneath you as well as on top and sleep against an arm of a sofa as you’ll slip in bed!!! And as with what other girls have said, enjoy the journey, it’s over before you know it, and don’t spend too much time worrying about the pain, it really isn’t what you expect, you just ache, it’s bearable!!!! Xxxx
