SECOND BA

Hi girls,

Have any of you had a second BA?

If so can you tell me your reason why?
How long did you have to wait?
Did it hurt more the second time around?
Could you go with same surgeon?

Hi, I’m due to have my second BA on the 6th Sept. I had 340 unders and have since breastfed two children. I went from a 34d to a 36 H! So have some loose skin and I’ve now gone down to a 34c.
I’m having 450 unders this time. Would like bigger but My surgeon said no as I’m quite slim.
My first op was 7 years ago and my surgeon has now retired.

I haven’t had a second BA yet, but I’m thinking in the future when I am earning more and the implants/BA I have settle a bit, I may make them a bit bigger – there is usually a limit with size of the first implant but once the pocket and skin has stretched a second BA can accommodate a larger implant size to get you the final size you want (I’d like to be an E or F, currently a DD but at 2 weeks PO so lets see if it changes but I doubt it). From what I know you have to wait a year from your first BA to have a second one, and in terms of recovery the people I’ve spoken to and ALL the YouTube videos I’ve watched the pain is either the same or less! You can go with the same surgeon.. I plan to and already told him this, but may change my mind later xx

I’ve just had my second ba due to having CC, the pain is bare minimal nothing near what it was like the first time round!
As I was sent for a scan and had to wait for results of that I was waiting just short of a year for my surgery! Hell of a long year but it’s finally done xx

@mosley123 did they charge for the re op?
And where you able to pick your size again? Or did it have to be what you previously had?

No I didn’t get charged for the re-op as I had CC and your covered for 3 years for that also I paid for life time guarantee.
I originally had 345 in one and 365 in the other I’m now 400cc in both and my surgeon picked the size. Xx

Hi Daisy, did you notice much difference in size after your op? I’m only going up110cc as that’s the most my surgeon will offer me. Xxx

Hiya yeah I’ve noticed they’re a lot bigger but not too big which I’m glad. My surgeon offered me up to 500cc but I didn’t want to go too big and regret it glad I went for the 400cc as it’s still bigger than what I had previously!! Xx

Thank you all for your advice. I’m so unhappy with my size as I look exactly the same in my clothes and that was my main reason for wanting them done, I didn’t care too much about how I looked naked as my partner doesn’t care, but I wanted to feel like a woman in my clothes, but now look worse than I did with a padded bra on.

At my six week appointment my nurse was concerned that I may have CC and told me to keep massaging them which I do religiously but I’m sure something isn’t right.

@kiymetli Can I ask what signs you had that showed you had CC?

3 months on I still have one clearly noticeably bigger than the other (as it was from 3 days PO!), and they are still very painful to touch, and also still numb underneith.

Hoping to be offered a correction, but I’m doubting their response next month. Xx

@goldielox I’m currently 2.5 weeks post op and don’t have CC Hun I’m guessing it would be to early to tell if there was.

Hi goldie, when I had CC my left breast was swollen at the top and different shape to the right one. I didn’t have constant pain but had a shooting pain go through it every now and then. My surgeon requested that I go get a scan on my boob just to make sure there was nothing else the matter. If you have CC massaging it doesn’t help, my swelling stayed there until I had my re-op. I really hope you get sorted! ☺️

Thanks hun. My left is still swollen compared to the right too and has been the same since the day I had my strapping off which was early at 3 days. I also get shooting pains in the swollen one, ad cant lay on it at all and even struggle to lay on that side because it just feels so uncomfortable. I’m still really numb on that one too. Don’t know if it’s CC but something definitely isn’t right ;( Xx

What’s cc please ladies I had a ba 11days ago and one boob is swollen to other it doesn’t seem to be changing it’s been like this since day 2, I no it’s early days but after reading this I wondered what cc was please x

CC is when scar tissue grows around the implant making it look swollen and different shape. I had my re-op 2 weeks ago and now my right is swollen but my nurse said it can take 3 months for the swelling to go xx
