Stitches – how long to dissolve??

I’m 5 weeks post op. I’ve got some stitches poking out at the ends of my incision scars. They’re irritating. I’ve got my 6 week check next week. I caught one last night showering which bloody hurt! Also felt a ping under my left booked like something snapping. No pain though. Anyone had this or know what it is? I’ve emailed MYA with the same pics for peace of mind and await a reply. Hey I’m just over 4 weeks post op and I had dissolvable and non dissolvable and when I had them removed it felt like it loosened but that’s probably from where they have dissolved? I haven’t felt any of mine do this yet though! Hope this helps 🙂

When I saw the nurse at 2 weeks she said some woman still have to have stitches removed at 6 weeks as they haven’t dissolved. I’m sure they’ll take them out next week.
What days your six week heck Sonia?

I had the same I was told at my 6 week check the ends can take up to 3 months to drop out once they are dissolved from the inside they will randomly fall out one day. I noticed the one in my left one has fell out, the right one is still there slightly, I am nearly 9 weeks po Xx
