HI! i am just over 2 weeks PO, i really want to use the sunbeds because i am going on holiday in about 5 weeks and i am worried i will burn on holiday. I have been on the sunbeds twice already but am not sure if i did the right thing. I just wondered if anyone has been going on them and if so what they used to cover boobs/scars and if anyone has any tips for me.
Thank you

I also want to know this as I need to get on the sunbeds before I go on holiday!! (Pale girl problems) haha. What did you use to cover your boobs/ scars when you went on them? Xx
I think the only risks your taking by going on them this early is that with the skin being stretched it’s more prone to burning and also your scars can discolour (darker) and also more prone to infection. I suggest if you go on them keep sports bra on or take a hand towel and lay it over your boobs and scars? im 5 days PO and going away down south at 4 and half weeks post op don’t fancy going like Snow White so think I’m going to go on around 3 weeks but leave my sports bra on just take it off my shoulders xxx
i left my sports bra on and just took the straps down. I guess infection risk is a bit higher due to the sweating on a sunbed and i guess that will increase leaving a sports bra on. I think as long as we keep an eye on our scars and ensure the colour does not start changing then we will be ok. I think i am going to wait until im 3 weeks PO too. Also i may go on the lay down ones and use a towel instead of a sports bra so that my back does not get marks on. xxxx
Yeah think that’s a better idea myself also I would take your own towel that way if u sweat it will soak in to towel and prevent infection maybe ? Xx
My friend goes on them, and she’s 2 weeks post op. She’s fine, she uses a towel and as soon as she gets home she showers her incisions xx
beth does she go on the stand up ones or the sit down ones? and does she cover her scars? xx
Hi I use sunbeds I’ve not had an ba yet but I just had keyhole and use these plasters on my scars which are clear and u a u b protecting, called sun patch they are 10£ for 10 on Amazon u could put them over the scars they remind me of a bigger version of them cold sore stickers you can get, but wen I was in the sunbed shop today I got a balm that gives complete protection called Dr.muller by ultrasun http://www.ultrasun.nl
Not sure about your breasts though sun cream maybe? Or just do 3/6mins at a time so not to burn xx
