@lornamay7 – I feel excited for you, definitely the best day of my life so far! I had no problems with pain really, after a few days I cut down my pain killers then stopped taking them as I was finding it bearable! I definitely thought it was going to be a lot worse as I read quite a few girls saying they was in pain after their op, but obviously everyone has different pain thresholds xx

@beckis – I actually forget that I’ve even had them done because I’m so used to them now, but when I first had them done I literally felt like they was just stuck on! Sometimes I do cross my arms or something and then think wow I have boobs!! They now feel completely natural which is great because they was so hard to begin with! Happy healing hun xx

@vickyleigh Thank you, one of my biggest things I think helped me not get boob greed was not coming on the forum for a while. I began to dislike them when I was on here every day seeing everyone elses! Now I love them xx

@vickyleigh I was wearing 32B which fitted me fine but to look at I definitely looked like an A cup or maybe even a AA. I have odd twinges every now and again but apart from that I feel completely back to normal! I’ve literally had the best experience ever so far! Cannot rate MYA enough! xxx

    Hey Jess,
It’s not nice but it’s not unbareable, my nurse used the comparison of having a wax which I have to say was pretty spot on. They do use wipes to help ease up the stickiness (I can’t think of the right word) lol!!

I’m 9dpo but I was doing a lot at 2dpo, so I can’t really comment of if you will be more mobile as I think I have quite a strong pain threshold and therefore cut down the pain killers at 3dpo and only took them at night to help me sleep because my back was hurting.

How are you feeling otherwise? Are you excited to finally see your new assets? I couldn’t wait to get my strapping off! I was going to post a picture today but I dropped my phone so it’s in repair! Hopefully will put up some pictures later! 🙂 Happy Healing xxx

I know you’re not with MYA from your profile so may be a little different for you but it goes so quickly waiting. I think it goes quick because the nurses are in and out with testing your blood pressure and getting you to fill things out, then the anesthetist comes down and has a chat with you for a bit and then your surgeon will be down to draw on you. The whole day for me went soooooooo quick! I had my cannula fitted when I was laying on the operating table, the anesthetist was so good that I didn’t even feel it! They all made me feel so comfortable that I didn’t even feel nervous!

Have you had your pre-op with the nurse? xx

In reply to: 22nd Feb admission date!!

    Menu

    Hey Amber,
Your admission time is the time you need to get to the hospital for. My admission time was 9am and I went down for surgery at around 11:30am. I’d advise to have your bed all set up for when you get home and maybe have a few glasses/cups/bowls at counter level. I also moved things in my fridge that I needed to a lower shelf to make it easier for myself for when I was home alone. Also a good idea for after surgery is to wear shoes you can just slip on and a hoodie! xxx

@jessbenny I just can’t get comfortable anymore! My whole lower back aches! Doesn’t help that I’m back at work although I have a supportive chair at my desk so I should be fine! I have been wearing my bra over my strapping, mainly as the nurses put my Macom on after my op and I didn’t ask questions on whether I had to wear it! xx

    @aaaangell
I’m going to try the pillow under legs tonight and see if that helps me! I walked from the tube station to work today and it’s literally a 3 minute walk but I was soooo out of breath! I’m just assuming it’s normal to feel like that! I’ve tried to not look at too many peoples boobies on here now that I’ve had mine done as I know I’ll get boob greed so bad! So if I don’t look I won’t know 😉 xxx

@sineady1 I think I had my drains out about half 4 which I didn’t find hurt, maybe because I worked myself up so much about them! Think I left at around 5:30! I had partials, what about you? I feel like sleeping was hard because of the angles, not really much pain apart from getting up to use the toilet, not using my hands is hard as I’m so used to it! Xxx

I have my op tomorrow and this is one thing that I’ve 100% nervous about! I stupidly decided to watch a youtube video of them being removed hoping it would put my mind at ease! I definitely do not recommend that! Lovely to see the girls that have had their ops saying they’re not as bad as they look! Hopefully it will be a breeze! xxx

I work so close to fitzroy square so I usually use Warren Street tube station which has Victoria and Northern Line and is literally less than 5 minutes from Fitzroy Square, Goodge Street tube station is around 5 minutes walk, Euston Station is roughly a 10-15 minute walk, and Euston Square Station is like 5-10 minute walk xx

In reply to: What happens at a pre op?

    Menu

    Hey Olivia,

I had my pre-op 29th December, it was really quick! Wasn’t in there long at all!

My nurse asked me a few questions about myself, checked my blood pressure, weighed me, checked my height and took before photos. Because they had ran out of swabs I was asked to come back (luckily I only work less than 5 minutes from Fitzroy Square). I didn’t have any blood tests done, just a swab up the nose and under the armpit.

I don’t think I’m forgetting anything, pretty sure that’s all that happened! I was so nervous before going but there really is nothing to worry about! xxx
