my cosultation with mr adamo lasted about 45mins but theres no time limit with mya, you can stay until u feel all ur questions have been addressed. i went in with my mum, he was very friendly and asked some questions about my background health history, like allergies, previous operations, my reasons for wanting implants etc….then he measured me, this involves you taking ur bra off and ur top so wear something comfy….then after noting my measurements he suggested 3different implant sizes and showed me what they looked like, i put them in my own bra one by one to see what it would look like and picked one (i took ages…lol)….after that he went through the procedure, explaining what he would do, he also explained all the risks like infection etc….and i signed a form saying he had explained everything and then he said that i can contact my advisor if i have any more questions or want to see the implants again or whatever else and that was it……not stressful or embaressing at all….he was lovely. good luck. if u have any more questions let me know. i have my op booked for aug 5th. x

    Hi Sarah
I bought a few different tops, I wore a shirt from New Look the day of my op as it was really warm and for coming home I bought a cheap casual zip up top from Primark.

    Hello Sarah

I brought myself a cream hooded zip top. Im going to wear it with bf jeans for my journey home! Its not tight and would keep me warm yet comfortable.

    Hiya,

Yeah i understand the 6 week rule it’s just i was hoping to get stocked up on nice bra’s for when the time comes & wondered if i got measured say 3 weeks post op would my size change alot for when im sports bra free? I dont want to buy new bra’s & them be too big….Im not sure how long it takes for swelling to go completely

    xx

    In reply to: Swelling/Size/Bra’s

    Menu

aftr about 3 weeks most of the swelling should be gone (mins all gone now and im two weeks) BUT… your boobs will get lower and change shape. fair nough get measured but i would go spending a lot of money on bras. and even aftr the 6 weeks your boobies may still change shape/get bigger/get smaller… so get measured regularly. why not… its free!

    In reply to: Swelling/Size/Bra’s

    Menu

ooohhh i see, yeah i wouldnt go spending alot of money at once but maybe after 3weeks you can buy a few and not too many just incase you see changes again…but i think i was told after the swelling goes down, the changes in shape are quite minimal….so i dont think they will change by a full cup size or anything!

    Hi girls
After having my dressings removed last Friday my MYA nurse said that we would look at the option of lacy bras at my next visit, around 6 weeks post op so I’m going to wait until then to see what she says and to measure myself then. I’ve been using a bra measurement calculator on the internet, you take your usual measurements, type them in and it calculates your bra size for you http://www.85b.org/bra_calc.php so 12 days post op I’m measuring 32D and all of my swelling has gone down, just waiting for them to settle as they feel very firm!!!!

hi i’m having 380 overs, booked for 19th August :)
i’m a small 36B at the mo and was offered 380 or 410, but i felt that the 410 would be too big for me (i don’t really want to be any bigger that a D)
good luck with whatever you decide xx

    Hi Sara ,
Mr Traynor is putting a 380 in one boob and a 410 in the other as i have one bigger then the other lol, why is it some people can have about a 525cc when they are only a a/b cup and some can have no bigger then a 340/380cc all this talk about sizes are hurting my head lol. why can he only not fit a 410cc for you xx

In reply to: Anyone had or having 380cc Overs???????????

    Hi,

I had 380 overs on the 3rd of June with Mr Ademo. I was measured last week and I am a 30E in a few places a 30f in another and a 30dd in another lol. I was not even a 30a before as I had 2 kids and breast fed them both. I am soooooooo happy with my new boobs. They look awesome, are a great shape and I really couldnt be happier. I am only a size 4, 5ft 5 and pretty tiny however the boobs do NOT look to big at all. Ok they look big but not stooooopid big.
Mr Ademo is the god of BA’S. I love that man
    Good luck with everything x

    Hi girls

Im just confused and wish I could know my size il end up :S

Im thought I was currently a D cup and wear D cup bras however Dr Traynor said im more a full C Cup! I was advised on having 340cc or 380cc Overs, everyone keeps saying go for the 380’s.

I dont want to end up looking like Jordan!

Im 5ft8 so pretty tall yet I have a small frame..

In reply to: Anyone had or having 380cc Overs???????????

    Menu

hey kell, i might not be able to have the 410cc cuz at my consultation the biggest mr traynor said i could have was the 380cc. but afterwards i rang my pc and said i was worried the 380cc would be too small so she said she’d order the 410cc for me, and the surgeon would decide on the day of my op if it will be possible to fit them in my chest. but im not very hopeful tbh! there probs wont be enough breast tissue! ah well!
    7 days to goooooooo argh!

In reply to: are there any female surgeon in London or around London?

    Menu

Dinkydoo i’m exactly the same as you! I’m very shy and don’t like anyone seeing my bits lol But you have to remember that these doctors have seen thousands of breasts on thousands of bodies. They’re more worried about getting the measurements right etc so they won;t be getting any kicks of it!

All your worries are inside your own head….just keep thinking that he’s probably seen so many other boobs that day so you shouldn’t feel embarrassed!

In reply to: are there any female surgeon in London or around London?

thank you mazzy_i i do understand that but its personally me that feels uncomfortable with that and i would not be able to be open about everything with a male surgeon =[

In reply to: are there any female surgeon in London or around London?

im a medical student, if you wait 4 years may be i could help?lol on a more serious note, i think if you contact mya directly they will be able to advise you as they will have contacts with far more surgeons than those who work for them only. another suggestion; you could go on the GMC (general medical council) and search for some female plastic surgeons, they may not be with mya but they may be with transform or harley medical group.x

    Menu

    Hey,

Yes he was my surgeon and was very good however I was about that size and I wanted to have size 340 Volume and was told that would be ok.

The day I got to the hospital I was so excited and then he came in and told me they had ordered 300 volume.

I was really upset as I wanted at least 340.

Just make sure you know what you want. They dont really tell you what cup size you will be afterwards, they just approximate it

    Be careful with it :-)

    Hey,

I was bout 32A/34/A and the implants have roughly made me a 34C. I had 300’s.
Thing was I said I would like 340 and he said if I was bigger they may look fake and not as natural
See how it goes but he didnt want to give me 340’s, I got there and there had been a mix up and 340’s not ordered.
    Sep 2008

Recovery good. Expect the insition to heal up very well, you cannot see any marks or signs of it
When you wake up in the hospital bed your a bit spaced out from the drugs
Everyone is great and they look after you

You will need someone to take you to the loo and possibly pull your trousers down for you as it is really hard to at 1st.
It gets better but you dont realise how much strength it takes to try and pull them down straight after LOL
It is normal over the recovery period to feel a little burning sensation in your chest but it wont last long

Also will hurt if you try and stretch arms out obviously

Be careful when in the car and going over humps as they can feel a little fragile, dont have the seat belt too tight across you. I use to put it on but sort of hold onto it so it didnt lay flat on them

Mainly you will have to lay on your back which does get frustrating as you can get back ache
You can lay on your side, but again a little tricky/uncomfy. You should get the flattest softest squishy pillow, lay on your side and put them under your chest, it helps to be comfortable and careful with them

Sorry I am ranting on, get carried away LOL

    Any more questions, feel free.

    Hi Mazzy

I had my consultation with Mr Adamo last Thursday! I felt very comfortable with him. He spent lots of time explaining things to me, and I didn’t feel at all rushed. He took my measurements, and offered 2 different sized implants that I tired on in my own bra and then put my t shirt back on over the top to give me an idea of what the sizes looked like on me. I have booked my ba with him on 19th August!
Sure that he will make you feel just as relaxed as i was. Good luck and let us know how you get on xx
