wow Suzanne, that didn’t give you much recovery time.
Did you feel okay to leave after such a short time? I’ve decided to stay in overnight as i live a good 2 hours drive from Highgate, so don’t fancy going home, and then having to go back later if there was a problem.
Congratualtions by the way, and happy healing
xx
Hiya AmyLou,
Tomorrow before your consulatation(while your in waiting area) Mr Singh has a book with all before and after pictures . I found it very useful as it shows ACTUAL before and afters on a good selection ladies (of all different sizes of boobs) he has performed on (from the neck down). He did a fab job of mine and I was soooo pleased with the overall recovery afterward. Answering your question whether they will look fake is a difficult one. I would say it all depends on your body shape, the size of implant you want, height, weight, dress size etc. My implants were quite round in shape but I had very little skin and had the biggest that could be squeezed in!! They are settling down now though 10 weeks on but are still fairly round looking but thats what I wanted. The consulatation tomorrow is your chance to discuss the look you want etc with the surgeon and all your concerns. Hope this helps and good luck !!! Emxxx
Hi emma thank you for that. Im just feeling very confused and nervous cause lookin at different forums and some of the women are saying how fantastic mr singh is and then others are saying how bad he is. One lady did mention about how bad her scarring was. But i have heard more good then bad reviews. I’m not even sure if he can definately do anything for me yet anyway as i’ve had breast injections in the past. I was happy at first but didn’t even go up a cup size. I’m was a 34b but just a fuller 34b now even know i was told by the doctor that i should be a 32c which to me is the same size anyway. Will keep you posted on how it goes tomo.

Hiya AmyLou,
My scarring is healing nicely after my BA with Mr Singh. As it was my 2nd BA the scar is longer as I had a 700cc implant but it really has faded. At first I though ”oh my” how pink/red does it look.. but its funny how that week by week it seems to fade. Also other factors can stop a scar from healing properly..eg sunbeds, exposing to the sun too early.etc .. ALWAYS have an open mind when looking on the internet ..everybodys’ experience is different …what one person thinks about a surgeon another one disagrees with …so on.. and so on. I can only talk from personal experience and found Mr Singh to be 200% better than the surgeon I had perform my 1st BA. Deffo keep me posted I’m interested to see what size he recommends. Emxxx
Hey Emma i had my consultation with mr singh today and i’m feeling alot happier as he did put me at ease. He said it is possible to do a ba but wants a bit more information on the injection that i had done previously cause i don’t know what the end results would be as the product injected into my boobs starts to get absorbed by the body over time. So i don’t want to find that i have the ba and then end up with saggy skin around the implant. Really wish that i had just had a ba now and not the stupid injections. He recommended that i have an ultrasound scan and then get the results back to him. This again has made me confident in him as he has not rushed me into anything. He suggested 380cc but not definate yet.

Hello Lolly89,
I started to panic a 5/6 days before my BA as I still hadn’t heard anything with regard to admission times ect. I was booked in Wednesday 3rd June and had a call from the MYA nurse over the weekend before letting me know all the necessary times … so I agree with missmanace its usually about 3 – 4 days. All the best for the 25th !!! emxxx
Hiya, my op is on Wednesday, and i just found out on last Friday my admission time, which is 2pm.
So yes, normally 4 days or so before your op.
xx
thats a shame that we don’t find out sooner! I was hoping to book my trains and my hotel well before 4 days before the op!
Wendy
xxx
Hi Wendy,
I know what you mean..I needed to plan a taxi to the hospital, childcare etc. 4 days was quite short notice I thought. I called MYA a week and a half before to find out but they said the MYA nurse would be in touch so I waited…and waited..and waited.. then 4 days before I received a call. emx
Hi
I know im booked in for 2nd sept and im staying over in london. London is 2/3 hours away. So i need a time, because if they say 7.30am, i would have to stay over the night before aswell. Ive got two kids so i need to know if i need someone to have them for 1 night or 2. And need to book a hotel for my hubby, whos my driver. Its really annoying because i like to be organised, and 4 days before just isnt for me!xx
ps im suppose to be on the late space list, just ask your pc, its a load of rubbish really though, because the chances of someone cancelling their big day are slim to none. lol xx
Hi SBear, I had a consultation with him a couple of weeks ago. And a friend of mine had her ba with him recently and is thrilled with the results. Have seen some fabulous ‘work’ done by him and scars are tiny. Let us know how you get on.
Rio x
Wow bet your shocked but happy at that
I was a full C pre op and had 380cc overs. Cant wait to find out what I measure up now!!
x
wow! what a shocker! i was a 32b before, only 10days post up so far from being ready for measuring but had 410 overs, i was hoping for 32dd….i wonder what ill be now!lol congrats and im sooooooooo jelous ur 7weeks post op….lol

Hi
Yeah I couldn’t believe it!!! Think it might be because they’re a lot fuller than natural boobs would be, I obviously need a bigger cup but never did I expect to be 2 cup sizes bigger, only problem I have now is finding bras to fit, 30 is the smallest they do at Debenhams and even some 30’s were too big so I was told i might need 28. I did that bra calculator thing on the internet and I measured 32D/DD but it obviously varies depending upon the bra style.
I tried a plunge bra to show my cleavage but it didn’t look right, think once they soften a lot more I should be able to push them together more lol! Make sure that when you get fitted, get the advice of the staff who will ask what you’re looking for and check that the bra fits correctly. When I had smaller boobs I never had my boobs measured I just measured them myself and thought that the bras I was wearing fitted ok – I didn’t realise that the bra should be really snug around your rib cage so that if you pulled your strap off your shoulder your bra would stay in position and your straps should never be tight….when I had smaller boobs my straps were always tight so that I’d get as much cleavage as I possibly could haha!!! Its great having bigger boobs but I can see bra shopping being awkward – but I don’t mind!!!!
Missmanace – wow you will be surprised when you get measured, bet you can’t wait, hope you’re healing well.
Maya – Thank you, congratulations to you too. I think you’ll be surprised when you get measured too! Time has flown by, I can’t believe how quickly it has come round, you’ll soon be trying on bras!!
Fiona xx
Hiya Fiona!!
I got measured at debenhams and they said I was a 32g. I wasn’t convinced as I’m wearing 32F’s which fit better than a 32g (either sizes 32g/f are not a perfect fit if I’m honest though??). I think a lot depends on the actual make of bra I have found sizing differs soooooo much. With the 1st BA (had 340ccs) had no problems at all bra buying but now with the 2nd BA (700ccs) …I’m having so much difficulty buying bras!!!:cry::cry:xxx
The thing is they have increased in circumfernce ONLY not outwards so bigger bras fit ”around” the implant but peak a bit at the front. I just cant seem to find anything that fits snuggly. I said after 6 weeks I’d never wear my sports bras again only for the gym but i’m finding I am wearing them as they fit better than the bras I’ve bought (this is not good as they are not flattering whatsoever)
Anyone experienced this ??? Can anyone recommend a make of bra that will solve my problem??? xxx
OMG! How tall are you Fiona and what size are you (clothes I mean) Just trying to get an idea of how big I’ll go coz I’m having 380’s and I’ve worked it out to be a D/DD x
Emma
I have been advised by a nurse at the hospital and by a few friends I have who are ‘large ladies@ to try Bravissimo the website is really good and they have shops around the country. Also Freya are good.
Hi Leanne.
I’m 5ft 8 slim build and was size 8/10 on top (pre op) and between 10 and 12 hips, I weigh about 9 and a half stone. When are you having your op? You hve unders or overs? I still can’t believe I’m wearing F bras despite having partial unders! I went in to M&S today and tried on a 32E which was too big around the band but seemed to fit ok on the bust, so think I’m going to range from E-FF! I have worn my 30F t-shirt bra today and its quite snug around the band but then I think I just need to get used to it – all these years I had thought I was a 32!!
I think I’ll need to check out the Bravissimo site too as my size was limited in Debenhams and M&S!
Fiona xx
Girls,
I know she is not the most favourable person at the minute….but the Katie Price range at ASDA has some nice bras in big sizes. Think they start at D and go upwards, and seem to have a good choice in small band sizes too i.e 28/30.
kerry x
Hiya Kerry,
Cheers for that I’ll go to Asda and have a look. Its a nightmare at the moment finding bras. Are the bras expensive in the Katie Price Range, I’ve spent nearly
Emma,
I don’t think the prizes are too bad. probably cheaper than M&S etc. ASDA’s own range have some really good ones upto a H i think and they are quite cheap in comparison with everywhere else. The wallmart ASDA is the best for choice. I’ve not bought any myself yet, but looked ready so i know whre to go. I have got the Asda post op bra
Emma,
just looked on Asda website and the Katie Price ones are about
Hiya,
Oh I bet you can’t wait!! I’m 10 weeks on now after BA . This forums been good to catch up with everyone and find out if they are going through what you are. I’ve learnt so much and I’ve had 2 BA’s…even now about Katie Price Bras and Bravissimo bras!!
The nice bra buying stage …mmm I know what you mean!! 6 weeks in a sports bra (unless you are lucky to have a surgeon who says you dont have to wear one ) is a pain. They are sooooo sexy , especially in the bedroom hehe. I’m wearing underwired now but keep alternating it with the sports bras as I can feel the wire pulling on my incisions after a few days. I discovered this forum when I had a week off work after BA and regularly use it…facebook no more ..joking. I even found a red sports bra…mind you it still didn’t make the earth move!!!hehe
Where are you having your BA??? What size are you having??? xxx
Having mine in Manchester with Mr Alvi. Having 410cc overs and currently a lacking 32C!!! Not sure what Iwill end up but anything is a bonus!! Just been searching online for you, try Tootyboo.com for a bra. They save a massive sale on and its free returns if they don’t fit x
Hiya,
Cheers hun you have been a great help. Your boobs will be a nice size having a ‘C’ with 410cc overs!! I had 700ccs 2nd time round…sounds big but I had no boobs 10 years ago ..had 340’s 1st BA which made me a C but when they were taken out I was probably a stretched 32a!!hehe. I’m a 32f…well not really its just an ‘E’ bra will not fit round the 700cc. 10 years ago you couldn’t tell my front from my back!!! Here I am now moaning I cant find a big bra to fit!! Its mad you get soooo use to your boobs I’ve forgot how they use to look. I should be grateful!! I had my first BA in Manchester, its a great place. All the best with your BA. All I can say is when you wake up and look down…such a good feeling !! xx
Hi sweets,
I think everybody prepares for the fact that it will be very very painful and when it comes to the crunch it isnt as bad as they had thought (generally). I personally felt like someone was constantly sitting on my chest, so heavy (not like an elephant heavy, but more like someone holding me down) but bearable. I cried a bit but I think it was more to do with the anaesthetic actually, making me a bit sensitive. Have you got any painkillers left?
I started to feel more normal after 10 days. I had my implant under muscle so it took a bit more stretching on my tissues etc and they looked like cones lol. I kept getting the shooting pains so I was twitching a lot but it was not too bad. I did not tell my dad (only my mum) and he did not notice even
)) I went from AAA to C.
If it is really bad, call the nurse perhaps as she may recommend you a painrelief if the one you have isnt working.
Dont suffer in silence sweets x
Hi Girls
Can i ask if your boobs and or nipples still feel numb, when do the sensation come back?
Thanks
cupkake – thanks for that I was beginning to think I had something wrong with me. I find that one side is more swollen than the other which is also strange but the nurse says thats natural too I suppose we are all different. I cant wait to start feeling more normal although I do have to say each days is a little better. Apparently I had alot of anaesthetic so maybe its that still I dont like being in pain all the time. I am taking pain killers evey 4 hours.
Natuk – boobs def still a bit numb but not nipples, it is common apparently to have no feeling in your nipples and can take a few weeks to come back so I wouldnt worry.
Hi Pussy cat,
Hope your feeling a bit better today? What surgeon did you have huni, and did they use drains on you? x x
Hi pussycat
I found the medication they gave me was making me feel very ill so i stopped after 2 days and the nurse did say the tablets may make u feel horrible.I also had 1 boob alot more swollen than the other but was’nt really in much pain-kept getting a burning pain in 1 boob though.Have u had ur strapping off yet?
Ang x
Hi hun
I was in alot of discomfort at the end of my first week. I cried loads and was really emotional, kinda felt sorry for myself lol. Im 11 days post op now and although Im not in any pain I still get the odd twinges, mainly from my incision site and Im still swallon they dont move alot atm. Starting to move when I walk now like a natural boob would but not massively. Im due to take off my tape thats covering my stitches this weekend which will leave my incisions bare, im not looking forward to that one bit. Apparently Ive got to sit in a full bath filled with baby wash for half an hour so that the tape peels off easily. Did you have overs or unders? I had overs which might explain why I felt ok straight away! – Has anyone noticed that there nipples and the area above your incision is still numb? x
Hi girls
I’m 7 weeks post op and everything has just about settled apart from a little numbness under my left boob near the incision, nipples can be very sensitive still! I’m still getting small twinges in my left boob now, as I had under the muscle it feels a bit like muscle pain. My nurse did say it will take up to 2 years before I’m fully healed inside which I was quite surprised about!
Pussycat – Around 7-10 days post op I was still finding I was getting a bit of pain, more so after having sticky bandage removed so took painkillers but soon settled after that. Just take it easy, don’t do too much, its important to take good care of yourself, you’ve paid good money for your boobies
Hope you’re all doing okay and enjoying your new boobs!!!!
x
hi everyone thank you so much for your comments, still feel really rough today and in alot of pain but perhaps im just having it worst than most. I have had the strappings off its not so much of the swelling that I cant cope with its the bad pains I am getting that knock me for six anyway I am going to persevere and if still bad by monday I am going to go back to speak to consultant.
Thanks again
🙁
no I am wearing post op bra from asda which is really comfortable. I am starting to wonder if my body does not like them but the nurse says I would have known by now so not to worry. I am going to have to take next week off work (had first week off as annual leave) cos not well enoough to go back. Perhaps its my age cos im 46 maybe when you are older it takes longer to recover lol. you see when you say you took painkillers and then the pain went I dont seem to be having that I am still taking pain killers ever 4 hours. Did yous swell alot and did the swelling take along time to go down?
thanks
Ok, I wondered if you were told not to wear a bra as some surgeons say you don’t need to. I had more pain once the dressings were removed as my boobs were just free to move and it was really uncomfortable/painful, more so at night. Did you just have an enlargement over the muscle? It all depends upon your pain threshold too so I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I do think that as we get older things do take longer to heal, I’m 30 by the way. My friend had hers done 7 years ago when she was 40 but she had problems because she didn’t have a spleen so she didn’t heal very well. I think it took a week or 2 for the swelling to go fully but then it can take longer. I had 2 weeks off work to be sure, I certainly wasn’t ready to go back after the first week! x
at the pre-op the nurse checks your blood pressure, weight, takes pictures of your boobs and asks you general health questions. she’ll also give you all the info you need to know before your op, e.g pre op dos and donts..
no they dont. well they didnt with me anyway.
and i went to the same clinic in liverpool where i had my initial consultation for the pre-op aswell and meeting with my surgeon.
but for my post op appointment i had to go to manchester.
Hi Sarah_x
Do they actually weigh you or do they just take your word for what you tell them? Sounds really daft but ive been dieting recently (as ive not long just had my second child), so that i was my ideal weight for when i have my new boobs. I now weigh 6st 12lb, im 5ft size 6. But my partner keeps having a go at me saying that if i dont put a bit more weight on before my op they wont put me under?! which i personally think is a load of rubbish. So just wanted to know if you get weighed?
Also do you know when you get your operation time?
My pre ops tomorrow, and my op is 2nd sept. Had my letter come and next to the time it says tbc. But i need to know asap so i can sort someone out to look after the kids etc… x x x
Hi.
When I went for my pre-op I was given a big information pack which contained DOs & DON’Ts, also I was weighed, measured, had photos taken. Also I had blood taken, but I do have a thyroid condition. So that’s why blood was taken! They also take the rest of the payment (there was only 2 weeks between going ahead and getting date) So had to pay full amount! You do get 20 days before surgery! They also allow you to address any other issues you may have that were not previously mentioned, and to allow any further questions.
A warning to all ladies who are due to go to hospital soon for surgery, if the time on your letter says 1pm (for example) DON’T assume that this is the time you will be going down to theatre. I arrived at the hospital after 11am, as it said 12pm. But neve actually went to theatre until 1430! There is a waiting list. It just allows you to be taken to your room and go through all the necessities.
Claire x
hey bex,
this is how my procedure has gone:
pre-op 2 weeks before op, then 2 week post op check up and ill be having another check up with my surgeon mr traynor on september 9th.
it might be different for other people though, because i live about 2 hours away from manchester so its more difficult for me to get to as i dont drive.
xx
and no, they dont take swabs.
well, they didnt with me anyway and they didnt take blood.
you also have the choice of informing your GP about ur BA. its entirely upto you!
I had my pre op yesterday. To be honest its a bit of a pointless thing. I had to drive 1 hour and a half to where it was. She went through a couple of questions like have you got any health probs, allergies etc.. ( nothing they couldnt of asked me on the phone ) She never weighed me just asked me, asked me my height. Took 3 photos of my lovely saggy boobs lol and sent me packing with a leaflet of do’s and donts. Thats it.
My op is 2 weeks today, and i got given my time today to, they rung me. woo how exciting xx
Hi there, I had my BA with Mr Traynor on wednesday and all I can say is he with amazing the pain after was min and evreyone that has seen me since the op has said they cant believe how natural there are everyone tho they would look fake like Jordan. My hubby is over the moon with the results. I didnt even fit into an AA cup before and now they are about a D cup, I had 340cc unders, and cant wear any bra for 6 weeks but have been shopping today and buy some new tops i was in a size 4 to size before and now need size 8-10. if you have any question let me know i was so scared before op but its really none that bad. xx
