I waited a week till I had sex after BA. Take it easy though, don’t wanna rip your stitches. I’m 4 months post op and still find it horrible to lie on my stomach, and there’s no point in starting to take the pill again until you’ve finished the antibiotics xx

In reply to: New on the forum.

    Menu

Hey hun, I’m 5’3 size 10. I had 550cc hp overs with mr singh. Feel free to add 🙂 xx

In reply to: Feeling sad that my journey is almost over 🙁

    Menu

Add away. I love then to bits so don’t really mind showing them off lol. I’ll be putting new pics up at the end of the week when I’m actually 17 weeks.
Emma if its what you want and what you feel will make you happy then go for it! Life is too short. I know how you feel about going under, but the staff I had at Highgate were amazing, so reassuring and friendly they really put me at ease. After going to a private hospital for the first time and experienced how well I was looked after, I’ve taken out private medical insurance for the works! There really is nothing to worry about, about being put under GA, before you know it you’re asleep, you’re awake again. Feel free to ask any questions ladies, Ill be more than happy to help and share my experience. xx

    Glad I can help 🙂
I’ve accepted Hun. It’s such a mixture of emotions. when you’re there in 2 weeks Katie, sat in your hospital bed in the most fashionable attire you’ll ever wear, just keep thinking that in a couple for hours you’ll have what you’ve alway wanted 🙂 I couldn’t wait to go down to theatre, practically ran out of my room xx

In reply to: Feeling sad that my journey is almost over 🙁

Haha!! Knowing you ladies are having your done/ just had them done makes me want to do it again! Lol
The next 4 weeks will go fast the last week will probably drag, that’s always the way when you’re looking forward to something xx

In reply to: Push up bra

    Menu

I have the same problem 🙁 I’ve had so much trouble getting a push up bra in an f cup. I found wonder bra are ok, but you’ll have to order online as most shops don’t stock the small back sizes with larger cup. Gossard ego boost are supposed to be really good. The ann summers one in my photo album is ok (the black and white one). Caprice are good as they have some padding in the cup in the larger cup sizes. If you get some bra padding for your current bras, put them to the sides of your boobs, it’ll help push them together; or underneath will help push them up a little. Xx

In reply to: Op tomorrow 500 or 550cc????

    Menu

Id go for the 550 hun. There’s a bout a half a cup size in it and with your height you’ll easily pull it off. Im 5’3″ and had 550cc from a 32c/34a and love them….sometimes I wish they were a little bigger though 😛

In reply to: NEW pics added 1500cc

    Menu

Wow!! They are amazing hun! Mr Singh is a genius!!! xx

In reply to: 34a to 34dd is it possible or am i too small

    Menu

Defiantly just go for it. Its around 150cc per cup size, but if you want to look a dd then you’ll probably want to go bigger. As everyone will tell you that implant measure bigger than they look. I had 550 coming up to 9 weeks ago and I’d say I look a dd/e. Yes that’s me lol and thank you 🙂 xx

In reply to: 34a to 34dd is it possible or am i too small

    Menu

Its defiantly possible hun. I was a 32c/ 34a I now wear a 32gg/34f! I’m the same height as you, and around 10st. At the end of the day, as long as you are doing it for yourself and you think it’ll make you feel better and your life better, go for it. It’s normal to be nervous, but you’ll be fine. Everyone at MYA are lovely 🙂 xx

Hi Holly! Welcome to the MYA forum 🙂 Only 10 days for you, the time will go quick. Exciting times ahead. Feel free to add me or ask any questions. The girls on here are amazing and are more than happy to help xx

In reply to: PO Ladies.. How on earth do you wash your hair??

    Menu
    +1

Def dry shampoo. I put my head over the bath and got someone to wash my hair for me, as quick as they could (wasn’t very comfortable).
Baby wipes for the days you don’t bath and flannel wringed dry for the days you do, for arm pits. You’ll also need someone to wash your back for you, otherwise you’ll feel clean but icky at the same time. One thing I really don’t miss! Getting in the shower after you’ve had the go ahead, is the best feeling in the world!! lol xx

In reply to: What to put on the scars 10 days post op

    Menu

I’d contact your nurse before you put anything on them. They’ll look terrible for the first few week regardless. When the swelling’s gone down and they’ve healed more they’ll start looking much better. My nurse and many others have said not to put any product on them until you get the all clear from the nurse at your 6 week appointment. xx

They don’t look like they’ve bottomed out to me, I think they look perfect! But I can understand your worry. You’ll have to keep me updated with how you get on 🙂 xx

In reply to: Preparing for the big day

    Menu

Id recommend Ice packs, Charcoal tablets (for bloating), stool softeners, antiseptic wipes, paracetamol and ibroprufen incase pain isn’t too bad (the painkillers they give you really bloat and constipate you), hot water bottle as it holds heat for longer, make sure you take everything you need to get to down from cupboards, baby wipes, dry shampoo. Think that’s it :-/ Good luck for Friday!! 🙂

In reply to: Mentor implants, 450, Mr Singh

    Menu

Mr. Singh is brilliant! Such a good surgeon and a genuinely lovely guy. MYA swapped from Allergan to Mentor a few months ago now, they’re just as good, still a really high quality product. They use mentor implants for cancer patients and the guarantees are a little better from Mentor. Mentor are made by Johnson and Johnson…I think that says it all really. They most defiantly do, do round implants as well. But, if you’re unsure about them, just talk to your PC or surgeon about your concerns or for more info. I had to meet with Mr Singh for a third time after they changed manufacturer, as I was set to have 525 round Allergan naturelles, he explained the difference the guarantees, and benefits etc.

In reply to: 2 months post op on fri

    Menu

Ah brill! Glad you had a good time 🙂 yea, I’m supposed to be seeing him on the 18th august, but might see if I can see him on the 21st July instead. Just finding it difficult to take time out of work at the moment. When are you going to see him? Xx

In reply to: Mentor and Allergan Natrelle implants

    Menu

I’ve accepted hun 🙂 Ahh brill, what size implant did you have before? Yea, I know exactly what you mean, I’ve really grown to like the rounded look 🙂 A higher profile will give you more of a round look. At least you’re saving a bit of money, always a bonus!! I’ve been healing really well to be honest, had hardly any pain during my recovery only the sleeping on my back was awful!! One thing I do not miss haha! At least you can enjoy getting all measured up again and get some new ones for your new and improved boobs 🙂 I’m sure it will be, def go up another cup size or 2. xx

In reply to: Mentor and Allergan Natrelle implants

    Menu

Which surgeon are you having? I suppose the profile will depend on what look you’re after, you want to get what you want at the end of the day. It’s a lot of money to pay and not get it. I’m over the moon with mine. Absolutely love them 🙂 Mr Singh did a perfect job on me, just waiting for them to go softer now, but I swear they’re still getting bigger each week lol xx

    In reply to: Sports bras!!

    Menu

Lol bless ya! It’ll be gone in a couple of weeks 🙂 xx

In reply to: 2 months post op on fri

    Menu

They are amazing hun! I really wish mine had the shape yours do!! Very envious right now haha! They look a bit bigger too 🙂 I have a huge mirror in the loos at work and when I wash my hands I can’t help but watch my boobs jiggle from side to side lol How did your massage go btw? Was it ok lying on your front? Intrigued as you got me thinking about having a spa day too lol xx

In reply to: Mentor and Allergan Natrelle implants

    Menu

I know lol. I only found half of this stuff out after I’d booked and confirmed everything with my surgery and asking constant questions to my surgeon and PC. Do you mean the silicone gel filling? I had the cohesive 2 (The firmer one) The firmer the gel the less likely chance of rippling. I had a feel of the 2 and there’s not that much of a difference…well, not enough to make me want to choose the softer one. xx

    In reply to: Sports bras!!

    Menu

I went in to MandS and tried loads on till I found one that was comfy. Most of it would be down to the swelling though hun. Maybe try a 36F? They look amazing by the way 🙂 xx

In reply to: Mentor and Allergan Natrelle implants

    Menu

I thought that Mya no longer offer Allergan products? Mentor and Allergan Naturelles are more or less the same. Mentor offer slightly better guarantees though, they also use these implants for cancer patients. I’m guessing the soft is a smooth outer layer, and textured is obviously textured…I’m not sure Mya offer the smooth ones? The textured ones help your tissue attach to the implant more effectively. xx

In reply to: Anyone got less than 300cc?

    Menu

I agree with Jessica. Defiantly don’t get hung up on the cup size, you will most likely measure bigger than you look due to the projection of the implants. Implants don’t sit like natural boobs do. I wear an F cup, but they look about a DD/E at most. xx

In reply to: Ok I'm nervous now…

    Menu

    Good luck 🙂 xx

In reply to: Overs or Unders.. whats the difference?

    Menu

Those who have unders (which are completely under the muscle) or partials (between the pectoral muscles) tend to have little or no breast tissue. They have this, as they would then achieve a more natural look, as they do not have enough tissue to cover the roundness of the implant. Therefore would most likely end up with a “stuck on” look, if they had overs. Your surgeon must have thought you had enough breast tissue to have overs. I have had overs because I had plenty of breast tissue and do a lot of upper body exercises. The healing time is shorter and when contracting my pectorals, my implant does not move upward with it. xx

In reply to: bra size calculators?

    Menu

No, all the ones I used are wayyy off. Just because the implants project more. According to the online calculators, I’m supposed to be a 34D, I don’t have a flying chance in hell of ever fitting into a D cup bra! I bought a 34F bra last week, fitted perfectly at the time, now it hardly covers my nipples! haha xx

In reply to: 1st consultation done, Is it normal to go home straight away?

    Menu

Different surgeons use different techniques as well. I had Mr Singh and he doesn’t use drains just strapping. I was a day case and was able to leave as soon as the nurse felt I was fit enough ie. eating and drinking and being able to hold it down, going to the toilet successfully etc. xx

In reply to: There's unsupportive and there's just plain nasty

    Menu

You can’t let them decide for you, it’s not their place. Its your body to do with it as you wish. Being manipulated to cancel the procedure lets them win and encourages them to dictate to you. If this is something you really want, you should just do it, for no one else but yourself. Sometimes you have to put yourself first. xx

    In reply to: spa day!

    Menu

I’d probably just ask them not to put too much pressure on your upper back just to be safe. I’m sure you’ll be fine though, if not just a little uncomfortable getting used to it. Have a lovely day 🙂 xx

In reply to: todays the day!

    Good luck girls! 🙂

In reply to: Love my boobs

    Menu

Not having to wear a bra in clothes and have a decent non saggy rack.
    Boobs being nice and perky.
Having an hourglass figure instead of pear.
Being able to grab a handful of nice squishy boob instead of a bit of flabby skin.
Feeling sexy when I workout, rather than just a sweaty, disgusting mess (still look sweaty and disgusting, but I feel good about it)
Erotic lingerie looks awesome on now and bedtime fun has never been better
The list is probably endless….but most of all, I love myself now 🙂
    Brilliant post! xx

In reply to: 3&5 days PO photos, Dr Singh is a boob god

    Menu

Awww I hope you’re feeling better today. I’m like you, I cant sit still for longer than 10 minutes, when I tried to do something as little as reaching for a cup out of a cupboard, or opening the car door. I was getting so frustrated and upset that I couldn’t do the smallest of things. You’re still in the early stages of recovery. it’ll get better with each passing day 🙂 They look amazing by the way and look like you’re healing well xx

In reply to: really need advice – please help girls – 470/525/580

    Menu

I had 550 from a 32c and I’d say I look about a DD/E cup. So maybe the 580 for you? I had round implants so not sure if the anatomical implants would be different xx

Try caprice or pour moi or maybe get one of those strappy tie up ones? I haven’t started looking for one yet, but I’m guessing it’s difficult to find nice ones. I’m finding it hard to find pretty bras as it is. Xx

    In reply to: Christning!!!

I wouldn’t go braless Hun, at that stage I took mine off for 15 mins at a time and I was terrified they’d just drop off or something lol I don’t know about anyone else but I felt so compelled to protect them as much as possible lol. Xx

In reply to: op on Wednesday ~ admission time?

    Menu

I got mine a week prior but I know sometimes they don’t confirm till the day before! You’ll be fine, almost time for new boobies 🙂 good luck for Wednesday ladies xx

    In reply to: Christning!!!

    Menu

Doubt you’ll beable to wear a normal bra Hun. The under wiring will rub on your incisions. I know my incisions were still pretty tender at that point in my recovery. The seamless bras in primark are pretty low cut and dead comfy xx

    I’ve added you Kayleigh.
I know Laura! I must have spent at least an hour in the bath last night, came out looking like a prune lol!
If I was offered 615s I think I would have gone for that too, def think it’s best to go for the larger. No regrets xx

In reply to: 6 weeks post op…pics up!

I’ve accepted you 🙂 I’m very happy with the size, sometimes I wish I was a little bigger lol. You have lots of time to decide on the size xx

Thank you 🙂 I had 550 hp overs with mr Singh xx

In reply to: 6 weeks check up

    Menu

Ahh I bet that put your mind at ease a little, the nurse saying you’re not bottoming out. I saw the nurse today got the go ahead too 🙂 was so worried cus some stitches are still there. 32g! Brilliant! Bet you’re happy with that 🙂 Going to get measured tomorrow ekkk! Can’t wait! Xxx

    In reply to: Stitches

    Menu

They’re dissolvable. The nurse will take your strapping off (if you have any) change dressings if it needs to be, check how your incisions are healing. Give you the go ahead to have showers, take photos and advice on further aftercare, then she’ll book you in for your next post operative appointment 🙂 xx
