I had my op 16 months ago & although I have more feeling now than I had after the op, I still have parts of my boobs that have no feeling. Its still well worth the op though! x

I had a period of feeling like backing out… I checked through all my paperwork to see how much money i would lose, but decided I wanted them done so wasn’t much point backing out & losing money only to have to pay it all again further down the line!

Just to add to your confusion on sizes – I had Mr Aurakzai on 24th Aug this year. I wore a 34a bra before (but since found out i’m 32 back so prob a 32b) & I had 380 unders – I am now 32e (or 32ff in La Senza)!!

I originally wanted to be a D cup, but i love me new boobs & they don’t look that big XX

Sorry i haven’t been on here for a couple of days.

Natalie – 3wks is gonna fly by! Yes you need to take your sports bra – take a few & the nurse will advise the best one. I previously wore 34a (found out since i am 32 though!) & took 34d, 34dd & 32e – I took the 34d down with me & that was great. It was only a cotton one from asda & stretched really well so the ice packs were very snug!

I didn’t have any bandaging, just tape on my drains. Once the drains were taken out i had plasters over them & that was the only dressing i went home with!!

Rebecca – I think its best you go back if you have questions. I did & felt a lot better for it. I went back because i had some questions & i wanted to try the 410’s, as soon as i tried them i said i didn’t like them & he said very smugly ‘I knew you wouldn’t!’ I then put the 380’s back on & he said i had to stand in the mirror for 5mins to make sure I was certain, lol! He’s fab – your in good hands!

My newbies are fab – i love them! I still have a fair bit of numbness but other than that i love them! The swelling seemed to go within about 2 or 3 days but took about 10 days to drop. I miss my comfy support bras!!

I have a lump in the same place & have one on my neck too (you can’t see them though) – i have had them for years. My doctor said they are like gristle & nothing to worry about as the size & shape has never changed. Could it have been there before ba & you just never noticed? XX

Natalie – Sorry you don’t have the option about drains. If you did i wouldn’t have had them either, but it really is nothing to worry about! I was more worried about the drains than the actual op! It feels weird to say the least but as long as you breathe when told i’m sure you will be fine.

Rebecca – I didn’t find the forum until after my consult so i ended up going back to see him again & he was really understanding. The plasters were just tight & pulled a bit, they were uncomfortable but didn’t hurt. I ended up pulling them off a bit more each day until one actually fell off & the nurse took the other one off. It felt soooo much better when they were off! The mya nurse said they must have run out of normal plasters because they are not usually that big?

I know that my experience has been a dream really & not everyone has been as lucky, but I would do it again tomorrow! If i would have know it would have been that easy in would have done it years ago!

He’s absolutely fab! He is a really nice guy n seems to know his patients well n wot they want from his first meeting wit them! I was undecided about sizes n went back to c him n tried sum bigger ones n I didn’t like them at all, he jus looked at me n said knew u wudnt, lol! My boobs r great 4 me, so glad I had him do my ba. The nurse who did my dressing at mcr lifestyle said she loves his work, they r always good. Supposed to b good at minimising scars as well but can’t tel yet cos bot healed proper yet. Hi missprincess, I got my bio oil from asda for about £5 on offer for 60ml. Don’t no if that’s a good price, it was jus convenient! Mr surgeon told me to massage it in everyday b4 op (this was about 3wk b4), he said it wil make skin less likely to get stretch marks so I wud think do it 4 as long as u can! Iv done it everyday post op to but not near scars my surgeon said this wud also help. I didn’t have much skin so got good chance of getting stretch marks but trying to make sure I don’t get them!

Do any of u no how long after the op they wud take to show? Hoping iv got away witout gettin them but only had op 9 days ago! Xx

Hi girls, I got quite sore the other day from hoovering, my right boob swelled up! I took my bra off for half of day n all night n wore a really tight, seam free vest top that I got from primark. It seemed to reduce swelling n I even felt like id dropped a bit overnight but still supported me. My scars r a bit sure 2day so gonna do it again 2nite, works a treat! U can get moulded type ones as well from both asda & primark. U could also try stitching ur larger bras together so that its tight at the top n bigger at the bottom, it shd give more support. I found it best to do it wit safety pins n then stitch it after so u get the exact fit. U cud also try crop top type sports bras as they tend to have wider bands which shd b more comfortable. Can u not get the bra extenders off ebay or betterware online? Markets shd ave stuff like that or dress alteration places? Hope these help girls! If not, grin n bear it, it wil b worth it lol xxx

It was my first time driving yesterday but it wasn’t to bad. Haven’t been over any speed bumps yet, didn’t even think about it, I bet it killed! I can’t wait for my boobs to soften, they r miles better than they were already tho! I thought I wud b knackered after work 2day but wasn’t 2 bad. Lucky u back 2 work on Fri! I have just found them on the website for you so i will put the link below, but they are called ‘Nike Strength Bra Top’ & they have got them in white, black & pain. They only seem to have certain sizes in certain colours though on the web, you might be best going into a shop?

To give you an idea on sizes – i usually wear a 34a (but think i’m actually 32!) & i have had 380unders but i can still get into the 32d nike bra without a problem. I think its because it doesn’t have cups as such. I do seem to be bursting out of the top but the nurse said that its fine because of the support it gives & how it pushes them together.

I was soooo glad to get my plasters off yesterday! Everything seems to be good & all the swelling seems to have gone now, they just need to settle & soften now. They are still high & i can only feel half of them but they are beginning to feel like my own.

I was told to use pins yes, but i have been sewing them instead. I think i should be wearing a 32 back but have always worn 34, so i got 34 bras & when i stitch them i still feel ok but it pulls them together as well. I have also bought a couple of nike bras from sportsworld which push them together because its more like a bandeau with bra fastenings. I took one to the nurse yesterday & she said its fine to wear them. They are a bit tighter underneath but look better under clothes n push them together loads!

Well i am back in work today but so far all i have done is go through a million e-mails – its not really hardwork anyway so i am sure i will survive! The hardest bit is getting up early lol! I do think i could have done with more time off but it just wasn’t possible.

How did your appointment go yesterday & how are you feeling?

Hi Laura, yeah I’m pleased, I love them! I had a crappy day but jus slept, it was Thu or Fri all the days seem to roll into 1 when I’m off work! Still a bit tender under my right arm n inbetween boobs but think iv prob bin doin too much cos iv felt good. Can’t wait to have plasters off n c wot nurse says then I’m back in work Wed. Lookin 4ward to sum normality, I’m bored out of my mind!! When u back in work? I still can’t laugh either, I get a heartburn type pain in the right one. Wil r swelling ave gone now? I feel a lot softer than I did and move a lot more, I love them!! Xx

Hi Laura, that made me laugh – hopefully we needn’t worry about them bursting out!! Iv given up on the ice packs, they jus made me cold! I had to have a shower yesterday, jus got my bf to help so I didn’t get plasters wet, it seemed to work ok. Plasters r starting to pull so iv pulled them back a bit today, tempted to take them off altogether but don’t wanna cause problems 4 myself! How u feeling now? Xx

Hi Laura, iv slept most of 2day n jus done a bit of washing n tidying. Think that wiped me out then 4 rest of afternoon. I managed to do a lot more yesterday but hopefully I wil feel better 2moz after 2days rest! I hate sitting round doin nothin 2, its bloody boring! Xx

Hi Laura, I showered my arms n legs day after op n just used wet wipes on boobs n under arms, didn’t wanna risk gettin wet. I felt miles better after it! Hi Laura, it feels worse today defo! It’s more of a pressure than pain but that’s prob bcos in keeping on top of painkillers! I love my boobs, can’t help wondering how much is swelling tho! Don’t mind them going down a bit but not loads! I’m starting to bruise 2day especially inbetween boobs, that’s the most tender part of my chest. When r u goin seeing the nurse? I’m goin next tue at 12. Dreading plasters bein took off cos part of them r on my scars!! Xx

I had my ba on tues jus gone n my surgeon said I can moisturise tops of my boobs but not near scars. I’m gonna keep using bio oil to reduce risk of stretch marks, I was also advised to use it everyday for couple of weeks b4 op to. Hopefully it wil help! X

Hi Micha, certain surgeons use drains n my surgeon is one of them. They all have there own methods of doin things, ie I had drains but no dressings, n have to wear a sports bra 4 6wk. I was dreading the drains but they were fine! If u didn’t have drains the body passes the fluids anyway but that’s when u usually hear strange noises comin from ur boobs. I think u can have drains wit unders or overs but not sure Xx

Hi jmurray, yeah I had 380s. It took me a while to decide between 380s n 410s, choosing the size is the worst bit! Feeling a little tender today n not as much movement as yesterday but painkillers r sorting me out! It’s still better than I thought it wud b tho, I imagined a lot more pain n discomfort. Xx

Hi Sarahtia, I’m feeling a bit tender today, but I slipped down my pillows last night which didn’t help! Had my painkillers n put some ice on n feel much better now. It’s more stiffness than pain but it can get really uncomfortable! Xx

Ha ha, it wasn’t quite that easy, lol! I expected it to b so much worse, not sure if that’s y I’m doin ok or if iv jus fell lucky?? Got a bit of pain in left boob but finding it hard to not do things myself. Kept getting my own drinks etc yesterday n table was too left of me, need to tie my hands up! Ave u had urs sarahtia? X

I had that problem to but opted for 380’s to reduce my risk of stretch marks n rippling. I’m 5ft 4, size 8, 9st (was this morning, gonna weigh myself when I get home – not really bothered jus curious)! I was a 34a b4, iv got a 34d sports bra on n don’t look very swollen. I love the size cos its big still in tops but doesn’t look stupid in bikini’s. I hope they don’t go down too much but any improvement on previous is a bonus, lol. Let me no if u wanna know out else x

Hi Alicia, I’m in mcr lifestyle now, had the op this mornin. Canula isn’t big at all, its all the dressing that makes it look big! When they put it in I looked away reading sum rubbish on the wall n it was in in seconds. I really wudnt worry luv, its not worth it! X
