I have overs and they look and feel completely natural, it all depends on what you have and the size you want 🙂 x

Hi I’ve heard if you have an implant over 280cc your skin is too stretched to just take the implant out and you have to imagine how much size difference there is between a A-E cup.

Don’t get into the habit of drastically changing your image when you’re feeling depressed, what if you have them removed and feel even worse? what if you need an uplift after and have loads of scarring, would you rather have that than firm boobs?

I know I’d choose firm boobs over my nipple scarring!

Try to see the whole picture and unfortunately you will never have your boobs exactly the way they were.

Maybe you could see a surgeon about having a smaller implant put in?

Russo! I was 34B now measure an E but look D-DD I had 260cc implants. Mario also told me my right was slightly bigger than my left but not enough to have two different implant sizes. They look spot on now xx

I just wanted to say that mine were far apart to begin with and are still quite far apart now. Mario said it’s however they go naturally. My implants were only 260 though x

I had wanted 380 but got 260 the bigger the implants the harder it is for incisions to heal he told me maximum size I could go is D but on my actually surgery day he asked if I minded being a little bigger than a D, I was probably in between a B/C cup. I have been measured a 34E but I think they look better in a 34DD/36D they look about a D x

29 Days post op

I’ve uploaded new pics again, I think you can see they are looking better than last week. There’s quite a bit dry skin I think from not being able to scrub them when I’m getting washed. Noticed over the past few days that they were feeling very warm but it could be just because the rest of my body has been so cold from the weather.

Next checkup is with Mario 22nd Feb.

Has anyone else had achy ribs after a BA? Mine are slightly aching but I’m not sure if it’s anything to do with surgery :S xx

I took two weeks off I felt like I could’ve gone back to work at day 3 but I wanted to make sure I was healed but even when I’ve gone back and now after almost 1month po they feel sometimes heavy and ache if I lean over too much (I work PT in retail so lots of moving around and being on my feet)

I’d say if you know your job is physical take 3weeks (especially for unders) if you can 2weeks minimum xx

Hi they do all different types of lift but it depends on the lift you need the surgeon will tell you you don’t really get the choice.

I’m pretty sure the anchor lift is if you need to lift the nipple higher by quite a lot and have lots of excess skin. There’s also a lollypop lift (without the incision underneath)

In my case I had the doughnut lift this is because my nipples were slightly too far down from having tuberous breast shape and needing some of my areola removed because often tuberous breasts have enlarged areolas.

The crescent lift is the mildest lift.

I would advise you to have a consultation with a surgeon and not to get your heart set on the mildest lift as it is not always possible. There’s only a handful of us on the forum who have had the doughnut lift and I only know one person who’s having the crescent lift.

If you decide to see a surgeon I’d recommend Mario Russo if it’s a lift you need as that is the area he specializes in xxx

I don’t doubt you Tina I only mentioned it because I hadn’t realized you were a Newcastle patient, I thought you were at Leeds that is why I thought it was unlikely to be the same Lucy, but it obviously is the same nurse.

Sorry if I seemed abrupt but after my experience it is natural for me to feel like she does not deserve any defense (I’m sure you’d feel the same if the shoe was on the other foot?), like I have said before I put a lot of trust in her and judging by your good experience she is capable of good care so I can’t understand why I didn’t receive it, I feel like she took advantage of me. I couldn’t really complain about her manner I thought she was polite but my concern is with the care of my incisions.

Yes My Mum told me they look at your nails to see if you are getting enough oxygen x

The scarring isn’t too bad it’s mainly the skin around it. I’ll upload a photo next week, I can see already there’s an improvement from my last photo. They are really itchy which is a good sign but itchy boobs in the workplace isn’t so good haha! My incisions where the implant has gone in are looking good too xx

Hollybol I think everyone is surprised, well the clinical standards manager is involved and it is already being investigated, so I should be hearing back from them soon. I just wanted peace of mind if anything went wrong, I didn’t want to be kicking myself in the end for being too shy.

But it has affected me, every morning I get up the first thing I think is I need to check them to make sure they’re ok and I have no infection, I’m constantly worried and I want to check them throughout the day. The incisions look healed over but around the bottom of my areolas the scar looks quite thick compared to the top about 4-5mm thickness it’s still hard to see as there’s still a lot of skin trying to heal that was ripped off with my steri strips.

I wish I had super healing powers! xx

Tina your profile says your nearest clinic is Leeds? I’m a Newcastle patient and that’s where I saw Lucy. If it is the same nurse you’re the only one so far to say you liked her.

I asked another patient if she had met Lucy and without me saying anything she told me Lucy was her nurse three times each time she left crying. The other patient is also my age, and as I’ve said before either Lucy thought it was ok to cut corners not washing her hands and picking with her fingernails etc or she isn’t as well trained as Jennifer which also isn’t acceptable. x

Hi annad I’m a patient at newcastle too I just wanted to ask if your pc is Amy Scott? tall, blonde, pretty girl?

I had an upsetting experience with one of the nurses but within an hour of me posting something on the forum MYA mod had contacted my pc (julie) she called me right away and was very apologetic the clinical standards manager was contacted and the issue is being investigated I received a letter the next day.

I can’t fault MYA at getting things dealt with!

22 Days post op

The clinical standards manager and others from Mya are investigating the incident I had with the nurse last week.

Had my week 3 checkup with my usual nurse, I was told I could take my steri strips off now and shower normally however I think my areola incisions still look and feel too raw (possibly to do with what happened last week) I’ve re-applied steri strips I might leave them on for another week, hopefully they will look better soon.

I’m feeling a little shocked as to how nasty and sore they look does anyone else agree? (I’ve uploaded pics)

I’m going to rest my boobs for the next 2days and keep my fingers crossed that my incisions start to look better.

15 Days post op

Had my second post op today to look at my nipple lift. This time I had a different nurse and I’m a little upset as to how it went.

When she was taking my steri strips off my areolas she wasn’t wearing gloves and picked at the corners with her finger nails and pulled them off as though I was having a wax! I saw some of the dried blood/scabs pull off and my incisions started bleeding, she also took off my inframammary fold steri strips. I hadn’t been in any pain until now my incisions have started to sting.

The nurse put gloves on after that but I am sure that removing my steri strips for the first time wasn’t the correct thing to do without gloves especially when she said she would have to put dressings on another week including over my inframammary fold which the nurse who I saw before told me I didn’t need them and I already hadn’t wore them for a week.

So now I have dressings on that are bigger than what I had on after surgery and the holes that the nurse cut in the dressings for my nipples is so big that it goes around the outside of my areola incisions and blood has been able to get through onto my bra surely that defeats the point of having dressings on?

I’m also starting to feel as the swelling looks like it has gone I wish that Mario had given me the implant size I had asked for or at least a little bigger, I still think they look a little too small for my frame

Hopefully things will be better next week.

8 days post op –

Slightly achy but I’ve been a little more active maybe overdone it having more back pain than anything though. Had my dressings changed and got to see my inframammary incision looked very neat and well healed the nurse said I’ll get a very good result with those can’t see my areola incision until next week mario likes the steri strips to be on a week longer so I just had my dressing changed on those now I have silly little holes for my nipple to poke through. Nipples are looking very flat from being stretched out however I’ve never had very big nipples and they were always quite flat unless I was cold, they’re also feeling sunburnt rubbing against my bra but fine when I have no bra on. My nurse said it’s ok for me to now go back on my pill whoo!! my bf will be pleased to hear that! xx

I just used 4 normal pillows and put them vertical, 2 next to each other and 2 ontop of those then put my V pillow on top… slept like a baby! xx

It depends on the pain you’re having if it’s really burning maybe you should speak to a nurse? I’m 5days post op too and I don’t have pain in them and I had a mini lift it just itches when I put a bit pressure where the incisions are. I’ve heard it can be more difficult for your strongest side to heal so if you’re right handed then maybe that’s why. Hope everything’s ok for you hun xx

5 days post op –

Don’t even feel like I’ve had any surgery can easily lie on my side and on my stomach, still just sleeping with my shoulders up to be on the safe side until I see the nurse. Laxatives have sorted everything out. Last day off co-codamol tomorrow. Massaged palmers cocoa butter into the swollen skin inbetween my boobs seems to have helped with the swelling and bruising this morning.

Couldn’t even manage 6 days no sex never mind 6 weeks!! Kept my bra on and made sure they were safe the whole time xx

I had transport arranged my clinic is newcastle and I think they only offer this because the nearest hospital is about 3 hours drive. It’s only included in the price of an overnight stay and although they are nice cars they aren’t limos haha! xx

3 Days Post Op –

I’m feeling absolutely fine today slept like a baby again! stitches from my breast crease are a little itchy but I think its because the bra rests on them, noticed some bruising coming from the left nipple and a fair amount of swelling in between my boobs, skin is also stretched there and it’s starting to bruise. Tops of my boobs are starting to feel soft and squishy and it feels like I still have all my sensation.

Took a laxative today as I haven’t been to the toilet since before my op, I’m not feeling bloated but I don’t want to leave it till it’s too late. My appetite is low too but I haven’t done anything to burn energy off so that will be why. xx

NHS are atrocious! I know someone who has a really nice little nose and she has managed to convince them to give her cosmetic surgery on her nose, she has never had it broken, it causes her no problems although she has told NHS that it does. Could be worth you saying it is causing you problems?

I sometimes use St Mortiz (cheapy St Tropez) mousse in the lightest shade and ontop of my natural skin colour it looks good xx

my mum is a nurse and works in the operating theatres about 6month ago she was in theatre when a mans penis was being amputated he was injecting himself in the groin and his penis went black from pigment he lost sensation, he was obviously devastated and worried what his gf would think.

Obviously not everyone will get horrific side effects but I’d just thought I’d tell you what I know, on the other hand I have a friend who has had no side effects but looks like a manky 2pence piece.. sorry, but true!

And in all honesty yes these are something I am afraid to use, I mean your pumping something in your body that you don’t know and not even professionals know what you could be doing to yourself years down the line, you could turn into a bloke for all anyone knows!

I’m not gonna lie and say I’m a 100% safe tanner cos I enjoy the odd sunbed but right now I’m trying to pale off so my scars heal a good colour and that includes after my op xxx
